#Sabres are playing at a 97-point pace since Jan. 1 and it's easy to see how much higher that could be with the kind of PP production we saw last night.
The problem, of course, is that 73-point pace they played at through New Year's Eve. Just never got into the season.

They’ve got the rest of the season + an offseason to round out their 5v5 play, fox their power play, and improve the pk and a few smart additions to the lineup and the Sabres are ready to hit the ground running next season. The future is bright in Buffalo
This is unfortunately common during the decade+ drought. Just never ready to play when the season starts.
Gotta be a cultural issue bigger than the players on the ice.
This group thrives playing with nothing on the line.
Same as it ever was
« Just never got into the season. » Smh. Eh, fuck it, dude- let’s go bowling.
Yeah they’re amazing after there’s nothing to play for.
This has unfortunately been the case for many many years
Hell this even happened with Ruff towards the end. We won a ton of games to close out the season his last 2 years here. One we made the playoffs
Honestly it’s the players immaturity showing, youngest team in league doesn’t know what it takes until it’s too late, could this be the year they finally learn?
Goaltending goes a long way. Comrie’s 1-6 record ain’t looking so good. This should not be a surprise to anybody but for whatever ungodly reason it was a hell of a struggle getting the point across in this sub this season. Eric Comrie sucks. Eric Comrie, Aaron Dell, 83 year old Craig Anderson, Dustin Tokarsky, Malcolm Subban……. I don’t know. This ain’t complicated shit. Get a good NHL goaltender, you will win more games than you will with an AHL level goaltender
I’m going to strangle the next poster that writes « the future is bright »
Yeah whatever it takes to hurt our draft position
