Well I’ll be fucked if Gary Bettman doesn’t have a better take than half the sports writers screaming that the sky is falling.

Gary seems pissed that we’re nervous about losing our team. I’ll take that.
I’m glad he drives home the same point I have brought up every time some other teams’ fans bring up us losing our team again. Thompson is rich AF. The amount of money they have invested downtown in real estate around the rink is way more valuable parked next to NHL hockey.

Even he put Paul Friesen in his place. Wait…do I *like* Gary Bettman?

Gary Bettman is a true Winnipeg hero!

Honestly they probably thinking like wtf is up with the narrative in Winnipeg? Teams go through this and they don’t seem to have concerns. Winnipeg inferiority complex. We got this.

I like the overall positive message from Gary. He seems to be very committed to Winnipeg.
He just communicates it in such a condescending way that I still irrationally hate him. Whenever Daly said something it’s painfully obvious he is just a nicer person to deal with.
Also didn’t love the answer of “get over your anxiety and come to the games” when a lot of regular people simply can’t afford hockey tickets.
I wish the media would have asked more questions about how they can get more corporate season ticket purchases because that’s where the issue lies

Very interesting.

Out of habit I boo’d at my phone when he walked out. It’s like a reflex. Anyway, nice to hear what he said. As I suspect, jets ain’t moving any time soon.
Scooterguy-
For once I appreciated Bettman’s arrogance! A very clear and positive message.
