NJ is a gritty tough team- especially on the road, but Kings played their asses off, and 24 needed a game like that BIG TIME 🙂 And despite Kings' HORRIBLE January- Cam's still ranked #10 in the NHL (Goalie Stat Leaders), he's having a GREAT year! GKG!!

Even on national channels these commentators love the team other than the kings 🤦♂️ they were obsessed with Hughes and the devils all day.
Watching the highlights, — these are some terrible defensive breakdowns. Anyone notice that goalie Erik Källgren had a shutout today in Utica ? This year Devils have lost to: Arizona, Anaheim, Columbus (2x)Montreal, Calgary San Jose, Washington (3x). 20 Available Points and the Devils only got 1 point. I hope Fitzgerald is smart and frugal about the goalie thing as bad as the goalie situation has been this season. I like Saros, but he is short for a goalie and thus relies on his athleticism. Jacob Markstrom is too old at this point imo. Absolutely pathetic for the Devils to lose to Anaheim and these bottom basement teams. Santeri Hattaka should be on the roster right now. I guess Fitzgerald has job security.

In all seriousness, was last year an outlier year for the Devils? I haven't heard anyone say this, but to me, that's what it seems like. Or would they have been a contender going forward if only they had decent goaltending. Thoughts?
