#hockey #nhl #vegasgoldenknights Mark Stone sera absent pour le reste de la saison 2023-24 de la LNH et est discutable pour les séries éliminatoires en raison de certaines manigances du LTIR.
I won’t criticize putting him there since the injury can kill him but I despise using the cap space and abusing the LTIR rule. It needs to be changed. How many teams have been robbed of cups with this BS?
It's more like the salary only applies to the regular season because every team plays 82 games but not every team makes the playoffs so the league and players' association have an agreed upon salary for the players in the playoffs that's usually the same for each player and way less than someone like Mark Stone would make per game during the regular season
There's no doubt that Barb helped Vegas win the cup last year, but was he really the difference between them winning the cup or not? Its something to think about. I think most fans would be fine with their own team doing this, considering its allowed per the rules. They just get mad when their team loses and didn't take this route.
The injuries are real the return dates are cheating the system.
Players prior ti the cap circumvention used to come back when healthy, they would usually want to try and play a few games before the playoffs to get their conditioning and timing right. Now they are suddenly not healthy until game 1 or not healthy until another player is injured.
I’m sure that Vegas just absolutely wanted there top 2 forwards out for the rest of the season, obviously that’s working out really well for them lately. Get your heads out of your asses a player is hurt what is he supposed to do
Why are people complaining about something all 32 teams have the right to do and saying nothing about state tax disparities that benefit a select few sunbelt teams and nobody else? The NHL overshot the mark saving those markets and now the rest of the league and their fans have to bankroll their Stanley Cup championships.
I just hope they get bounced early in the playoffs or miss it entirely. Them going deep after conveniently being able to benefit from LTIR shenanigans again would be such bullshit.
People bitching about the Lightning cap shenanigans. Bruh every single cup winner has been well above the cap. Vegas was 15 mill over, Blackhawks were always well over the cap, Kings' first cup run they were well over 10 mill over. This is a part of hockey and if it was an issue, the CBA would've changed it when they had several opportunities to. Get over it people.
Just include salary cap limitations in the playoffs. Easy fix. Even if it only applies to the 20 guys you dress for any given game, just apply the salary cap to the playoffs. If you go over? You forfeit the game.
Now, I'm not going to claim Stone's injury is fake. I doubt they could fake a lacerated spleen, and I hope he recovers fully. But it shouldn't be something that can work to your team's advantage come playoff time.
All of this talk is IF Vegas can make playoffs. The team has been in complete free fall for the past 3 months and is slowly slipping out of a clinching spot. Defense has been nonexistent.
I think Mark Stone and Las Vegas Knights since day 1 are the biggest cheaters in modern sports. I can't wait for them to have their "rebuilding" Era like San Jose and others are in.
This is a classic “rules of the game”. Is it cheating in poker if someone lies? No. If this is against the rules, then make it against the rules. Don’t criticize them for taking advantage of a loophole, criticize the loophole.
They will go and bring back Reilly Smith I think if their Captain is out and their old AC not to mention former misfit is available they will get him. Plus Jake is on LTIR as well and will look to sign a deal while Smith ironically wants out of Pitt

What are the chances that the “league doctor” is really just Gary Bettman with a stethoscope

This is not a coincidence.

Where's the NHL's salary cap on ticket prices? NHL is a total rip off.
Cocksuckers are targeting the same forwards as Edmonton and as an Oilers fan that really sucks.
easy win for dallas stars now in 2nd or 1st or 3rd round

You seeing how Knights are playing at the moment? They are at risk of falling out of the playoff if they continue like this.

Losing Mark Stone is in no way an advantage
If a player is put on ltir after all star week-end he shouldn't have the right to come back for playoffs. It's that simple

The Kings need to kick PLD in his nether region and put him on LTIR for the rest ofnthe season.
I’m done with the NHL until they get rid of the loophole. Tampa was disgusting with this- Chicago were the masters of cheating. Done with this shit.

“Your mommy and daddy give you $10 to run a lemonade stand…” Same vibes 😂
Maybe they're just micro-lacerations.
Sorry. Had to. Still salty.
