Missing a few point here… handling of the players has been questionable… Alex Holtz being buried of the 4th line, playing Brendan Smith over Colin Miller or Santeri Hatakka (who showed very well), Running Nico Daws into the ground. Power play started the year great and the went super cold, and nothing changed. Teams have been “trapping” the Devils to slow then down through the neutral zone and nothing changed.
This team gave up the first goal in almost every game this season. They showed up UNPREPARED every damn game practically. He REFUSED to play Timo on RW which was his NATURAL POSITION IN SAN JOSE and the few minutes he did, Timo scored and played well so he decided in his INFINITE WISDOM to put Timo back on LW. WHY????
You can't POSSIBLY say Lindy was shafted here. Yeah, we should have gotten a goalie sooner and what you're saying about the two schools of thought is VERY CONCERNING as a Devils fan. But Lindy isn't the answer either and now this is Green's evaluation period.
Also, this exact same thing happened in Dallas. Lindy held back a very good Dallas team with questionable decision making and Dallas was only able to take a next step organizationally once he was gone. Ask Stars fans, they'll tell you.
