If you gave up 5 goals in your lone playoff start its probably not a good idea to create drama. The wild acquired flower because Talbot was bad prior to the trade deadline & had proven hes a bad playoff performer so wild got a multiple time champion. Then instead of giving up a draft pick for 2 months of flower they decided to keep him long term which is smart. Whoever the goalie is we all know they are just temporary until the young kid we drafted last year is ready

Shocked but not shocked. If you don’t want to be here, well, we’ll find someone who does. Gaining this cap space is going to be interesting as now we have room for a solid mid-range to maybe 2 lower level FA acquisitions. If we trade another player, the market is completely open for 90% of the free agents. We all know you should never air your frustrations in public, Talbots agent did this in Montreal. Getting a 24 year old for a 36 goalie seems like a great move,
plus some added flexibility right before FA begins is intriguing. We now know Fleury is the number one with Wallstedt the goalie of training. It will be great to see what happens tomorrow, something tells me he’s not done yet. It does tell me maybe Dumba + Fiala and Talbot were in play to Ottawa this spring, something I felt was possible all along. The Kilikov angle is interesting as he struggled in his two games against the Blues in the playoffs but was pretty solid all year. Now we need to get 97 here and maybe a Miller, Giroux etc. are options. God only knows but we can at least have these new conversations.

Hoping that a new change is scenery will be what Gustavson needs.
