  1. we should try him first line with barkov and reino if no work put him in this actual position because i like our third line want to try and keep that, also interested in what number taro is gonna take because oli has 91

  2. Zito a master with numbers? He is not god!!! He gave a $4.5 mil to an unproven young goalie who now plays down in the AHL ALONG with his cap hit…. Last I checked we are still paying Keith Yandle who Zito bought out instead of getting getting Yandle to waive his NMC. Zito didn’t have the balls to get Yandle to waive or get benched if he didn’t agree to waiving the NMC

  3. To me it's a bit of a lose ,lose situation. IF they go on to win a cup it's due to this trade,if they get beat this trade wasn't enough. Where as if they would have won without any moves it has the most value. They will be fine. Go Cats

  4. Hopefully Tarasenko isn’t here to screw around. He needs to recognize his role as a bottom 6 guy on a defensively focused squad. If he’s here because he has a nice luxury household and think this is an easy ticket to coast to another cup he’s got another thing coming. He better be ready to give 100% effort on the forecheck for 60 minutes, take care of the puck, no stupid passes, no turnovers, and bring a valiant defensive effort. We have absolutely no room on this team for players on the back half of their career looking to sneak into a cup winning roster like Joe Thornton (no disrespect to him but been there done that, we only want winners not Huby/Weegar esk ). We already have a cup winning roster, and hopefully Tarasenko is here to be that extra clutch bottom 6 goal we need late in a playoff series. I am having PTSD of trading for Chariot and Giroux which got us a 2nd round sweep out. Let’s see how it plays out. Overall I’m praying that this move is the right one. The only thing I’m thinking is “how could we get better than how we’re playing right now we could only get worse” cautiously optimistic about this move and our upcoming playoff stretch. Go cats.

  5. I think people see “Vladimir Tarasenko” and get so aroused by his big name. Well we traded for Claude Giroux who has a bigger name and that essentially got us nada. It’s about how well he fits in to our already stacked squad, not just about his talent level but his willingness to excel in Maurice’s style. Speaking of which I wonder if Maurice had his hand in this trade, or at least I hope Zito consulted Maurice before pulling the trigger because the most important part to me is if Maurice likes him.

  6. As long as Gadjovich is in the lineup I’m good. He is a prototypical playoff player. Won’t score but he doesn’t screw up and stays out of the box. And he’s obviously a hard nosed player. We need him on the ice during the playoffs

  7. I don’t really want Chychrun but if that means he stays away from Tampa then I wouldn’t be so mad

  8. So what is the plan after this season? They don't have the cap space to sign Reinhart right? They don't have draft picks. Is this the last year they have a chance to win? They are deep, yes, but is there window just 1 year?

  9. What about
    Verhage. Barkov Taresanko
    Bennet lines stays the same
    Rhino to lundi's line

#1. Barkov and Verhage will mesh with anyone

#2 Benett's line is hot, plays extremely physical and hard to match up against and had success in the playoffs

#2 lundi. Louosterin and Rhino had success in the playoffs , They Have chemistry.

Remember how unique the number two a number three lines were last year in the playoffs. Bennett was crash and burn and rhinos line was much more smooth. So different, but both effective.

Then Rodriquez with Stendland and Lombo.

4 line is now faster, and has more scoring capability.

  10. No matter what there’s going to be an odd man out whether it’s cousins, Lomberg, or Gadjovich. And I really don’t like that. Those 3 are all contributing to our success this season and a playoff type guys that you want on the ice.

  11. Man, I was expecting to be a yelling and screaming video with a ton of the baseball bat! lol. Yeah I agree with you I would've like them to stay the same, but also I can't really complain about the moves that Zito did. Ever since Tkachuk And Huby trade I have full trust in Zito.

  12. Brutal return and a bad look for Staios imo since it was his first trade (gives me vibes of Craig Conroy), but thats what NTCs do to teams. Good luck guys

  13. I just hope tarasenkko is not a new Giroux. (Yes caliber difrence is large, but still) He was… Lets be honest bit of a dud in the end.

  14. Fuk chychrum and hanifin… rather go after Brandon duhmain and a young D for the future like adam Boqvist… but that’s just me

  15. As a Ranger fan too I definitely can say it's true that Tarasenko was not a problem last year at all the core guys not showing up was the issue and his poor defensive play is a thing but he sometimes will surprise you with good efforts as long as he's with some good defensive forwards it shouldn't be an issue at all

  16. Him picking his preferred destination and having a vacation home down here is exactly what worries me. I don’t want him to get the idea that the Panthers are a paradise team where you can coast your way to a cup while sticking your toes in the sand between playoff games. This is not the same team as 2022 where the players were spotted at a Tampa strip club the night before getting swept out of the second round. We mean business this year, this is a pissed off group that knows they got too comfortable winning the presidents trophy in 2022 and came oh so close to a cup last year. I’m not trying to put words in Tarasenkos mouth by any means but this team is already a tight knit family with a ton of chemistry firing like a well oiled machine right now and that is going to be ready to go to war come April 15th, I just hope he’s ready to play some Tkachuk era Florida Panthers style hockey. Defense first, hard nosed, nearly mistake free, don’t let anyone push you around, 100% 60 minute effort every game baby.

  17. I’m seeing everyone say put him on the second maybe even 3rd line… no ones seeing the real solution, Senko-Barkov-Reino, Swaggy-Bennett-Chucky, Eetu-Lundell-ERod, Cousins-Stenlund-Gadjovich
