  1. Seeing Dallas add Tanev and Colorado add Walker makes me hope my Jets follow fashion and trade for some defence

  2. Normally it’d be a stupid move for a team to trade a 22 year old defenceman who was a top 4 pick, but for the Avalanche with Makar, Toews, Manson, Girard, and now Walker on that blue line they should actually be okay.

  3. What included in the trades upgrade, is additional cap room. FLYER get first pick, Buffalo gets experience project and Avs gets a proven 2nd line center and upgrade 3rd line center. Dont think Buffalo is done selling, i think Philly may flip a pick to get better and Avs have money to target 4th line faceoff center or solid back up or both

  4. The Sabres keep Mitts until he's actually a decent NHL player entiring his prime and then trade him for a younger, left handed d-man… I give up!

  5. The Flyers didn't trade Walker for Johannsen!!! They traded Walker for the Avs 1st round pick in 2025; Johanssen was a throw-in cap-dump.

  6. Yeah Baby! If the Aves switch out some players to get better down the stretch to playoffs I’m all about it!!! Go Aves!!!

  7. I see everyone talking about Byram, but no one about how good Mittelstadt could be at 2C. Those point totals may not just go up a little lol, guess the avs had enough wealth on D to be able to afford the cost.

  8. Love Byram but he’s struggled over the last few years, has the concussion issues and 2C has been an extreme area of need for us. Good trade for both teams imo. Bo adds to that good young s core for Buffalo and I hope he does well there

  9. I've been calling for Mittelstadt all season as an Avs fan. Honestly I was really scared that CMac was gonna settle for Wennberg or Kerfoot. Now I'm thoroughly pleased with what he's done. Have more cap space now than before… looking forward to a possible trade for Nic Dowd to solidify the forward group.

Also, ive seen several Avs fans saying that a 1st rd pick is too much for Walker. But it should be mentioned that the penalty kill has been trending in the wrong direction for several weeks now, and Walker has been excellent in that department.

  10. As a huge Avalanche fan I can say wholeheartedly that I'm going to miss Byram, but there was no way for them to solve the 2C position without trading away a defenseman and he was the only one that was truly appealing for other teams that they could potentially afford to trade

  11. I’m loving those huge Avs magnets Shannon! Very cool addition to the trade videos. Thanks for the excellent overview as always.

  12. Side question for THG..has Jeff Skinner played any postseason hockey? First saw him play with Canes when they weren’t making playoffs..traded to Buffalo ….

  13. Mitts had been improving after a humdrum first five seasons, became a pretty good playmaker.

Byram will be just 23 in June, seems pretty reliable, has some offense, some physicality. Will be an upgrade over Bryson, Clague, Stillman, likely Jokiharju (a RH shot) and is further along than Power.

Byram’s cap-hit is larger but Mitts’ current deal is done after the season, and he was due for a sizable increase. I’m OK with this trade, as room needed to be made for Kulich, Rosen, others.

  14. At this rate Geno Reda will bring back the Llama during TSN's Trade Centre this Friday lol
