  1. Wow. Pleasantly surprised they got a #1 pick for a guy they picked up in the Kings trade last summer. Great work Danny Briere! It'll be a lower first rounder, but even so, I'm happy.

  2. late first round picks are a total crap shoot. Would rather have hung on to Walker, especially with all the injuries to their D-corp. If I was a player on the Flyers, I'd have to be disappointed that they aren't trying to get into the playoffs after such an incredible season thus far. Maybe something else will happen before the trade deadline. Is there any history of a team trading two mid-to-late first round picks to get into say the top 5-10 picks. Don't think anyone trades down from the upper half of the lottery.

  3. Walker was an expiring contract so I'm ok with it. You never know how late 1st rounders will turn out. Johanson should be gone by the weekend, via waiver wire, another trade or bought out. There's bad blood history with Torts & the last thing the Flyers need is another 32+ yr old centerman.
