Personally, I don't understand why they waited so long to fire Ruff.
The Devils have officially fired head coach Lindy Ruff following yesterday's 5-1 loss to the Kings in Los Angeles and have named associate coach Travis Green interim head coach for the remainder of the season. On April 30, the Devils will hire former NHL goalie Kevin Boyle as their new head coach.
In four years of coaching the Devils the goaltending has an .890 save percentage for Lindy Ruff this is not on the coach IMO.
NO GOALIE = NO CHANCE……..RUFF GOT SCREWED

As a bruins fan Mercer or holtz over toffoli I wouldn’t want a rental again I’d rather take the younger guys
surprised NJ give up season so soon. Green is a bad coach and seems like NJ is looking to rebuild again. Time to check if Hughes is available to trade ☺

Schmid is the guy. They need to just give him the starting role and let him grow the rest of the season.

If NJ goes after Saros they’d have to trade their whole draft like Tampa did for Jeannot
I could see a 3 way trade. NJ is better off with Markstrom, imo. Holtz and a 1st should be good enough. Then move Toffoli to Vancouver, Calgary retains salary and gets Raty and a 3rd from Van.
Good Video. I think that Lindy Ruff is A Scapegoat. While he's not the best coach ever, it's the moves GM Tom Fitzgerald has made (Tiffoli, Meire, Palat & others) that have been a huge problem & he ironically got extended as GM. Let me know what you think
As a devils fan we made it this far not getting a goalie it would be dumb to give up mercer or holtz now..just wait til off season
For Saros, NSH is in playoff race and if they want trade him, its likely happen in summer. I am bit surprised NJ wasnt able to make goalie trade. As ex Wild i remember year when we got Dubnyk and how huge boost it gave to use. No one believed that Dubnyk could be our answer to goalie problem then. That trade gave us bigger boost than what we got when we did fire Yeo in next year.
