  1. Good for Calgary getting a bunch of 1st round picks and 2nds to spare. They’ve needed an overhaul for years.

  2. Hanifin clearly fked the team over by intentionally telling everyone he wouldn't re-sign with them and tanking his trade value so Conroy just had to take the best offer which is unfortunate.

  3. Karma is gunna hit Vegas with some "REAL" injuries soon. To say you can't fake a lacerated spleen is ridiculous. Some local quack with a gambling debt will write any kind of doctors note you want.

  4. That condition on the 1st is so ridiculous lmao, the condition is “2025 1st round pick unless Vegas decides to trade it to someone else in which case the Flames get the 2026 1st Round pick.”

Vegas can’t keep getting away with it

  5. We salty for a reason, other teams are too humble to fake injuries. How many times has Stone done this 😂

  6. Carolina better get a deal done with Pittsburgh. Everyone figuring out how to manipulate retaining salary and plenty of teams are making moves. Rangers and Florida improved and just getting better with a rental is going to be the norm.

  7. Calgary guy here and really Hanafin is soft, doesn't hit, doesn't block shots, always comes out of the corner empty handed. Likes to fish around with his stick rather than check. Spent a lot of time fishing the puck out of our net too. He's like diet Bouwmeester, but way dumber. Gets burnt A LOT. Take the 1st (whatever year) and laugh.

  8. Put Brodie and Tavares on LTIR for mental health reasons 😉 and then aquire expensive good players and activate em 12:01 am the day playoffs begin

  9. The system does work, it just needs a simple fix. Divide ethe salary cay & everyone's salary by 82 and then the team you field every playoff game has to be below that number. That way if you can bring in games to replace injured players but then you can't send out loaded teams way over the cap,

  10. My issue is this’ll have a cascading effect for years to come as more and more GM’s start to push the limits of these legal “loopholes” to the point where you have to do this or else you’ll likely be completely outmatched as a cap compliant team in the playoffs vs a team that has 100+ million dollars worth of players

  11. a 1st and a 2nd for a playoff rental isn't bad (especially considering how Hanifin and his agent seemed to put the Flames in a tough position). In an ideal world, the flames would receive another conditional pick if Hanifin resigns in vegas… otherwise its the best return they could get
