What a frustrating game. Looked okay first period. After that Matta penalty cross check to back get up. Two hands to face and he face washs him back a huge stretch that that was a punch. Somehow both in box for equal time. Goalie mask falling off. We get a 3 on 2 man down behind play and stop play and on ice a minute later. Wth even after colorado power play we get commercial break to give them extra time to recover their players. Just so convenient every time they have a chance to get in the game. And not to mention they didn't do any favors for themselves. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
When i seen Vegas get mantha and hanafin I got severly down. Then I see us do nothing becuase of some sort of chemistry. I don't get it.

This was a route and is indicative of a team that does not want it as much as the Aves. No excuses here. Have been a Wings fan all my life, born and raised in the Detroit, and I'll tell you that Wings fans, including pundits like these commentators on this program, are in denial if they think this Wings team can get passed teams like Boston or Florida on any given day. A Cale Makar defenseman is eons better than a Mo Seider, yet Wings fans remain in denial that Seider is a star. Don't think so. Maybe in the minors, but I don't think he'll ever get to stardom in the pros. Although Seider has been good in some games this season, he is WAY overrated by Wings fans and pundits. He's not great on his feet, is clumsy at times, and makes ginormous mistakes, like 2 delay of game penalties, one resulting in a PP goal, and a 3rd mistake where he tried to cover an Aves player supposedly near Lyon's right side post. Why was he there? That cost the Wings another goal by the Aves…. They're third. This game was embarrassing. Lyon kept the Wings in the game through the first period. After that (after I gave up watching when Seider helped the Aves score their third goal when he was at the wrong place/wrong time), I turned it off. Turned it back on after the game had ended. Obviously ended up no short of a route, now twice within a few weeks (with Aves and with Oilers). Doesn't matter if the Wings can beat the non-playoff contenders. They don't have to worry about them —- they won't be in the playoffs, but teams like Boston, Florida, and the Rangers will. Wings need to begin bringing up their draft picks ASAP…..

Also regarding the Avs speed, yeah they had the jump & beat the Wings to so many loose pucks. Not only were they faster, but it seemed like they wanted it more.

Last year was a "chasing wildcard" teams this year is "competitive " teams and wings do fall short against the types of teams they will face in post season. 1 more year selling, unfortunately

They need to tighten things up while Larkin is out… as for the deadline I'm hoping Yzerman will trade the Holl contract and promote Edvinsson on the Defensive end. If he makes a big move I feel it will be a top six winger like Pavel Buchnevich. Yzerman already has a history trading with the Blues and they can probably find a mutual deal.
