The league wants Vegas to have every opportunity to compete for a Stanley Cup. We need to call it like it is. I understand the outrage from Canadian fans but in a world where sports betting is shaping the outcomes of major team sports, it stands to reason for the gambling capital of the world to have the edge while Bettman pretends they aren’t gaming the system no matter how legal it appears to be. Long term it will backfire but that’s the point, Vegas isn’t concerned about building the future because they don’t have to.
