One of the rare trades whereby BOTH teams benefitted!!! The Flyers obviously with getting a 1st rd pick for essentially a "throw-in' piece they got in the Provoroz trade and the Avs for getting the valuable right shot D-Man while getting out of the hefty RJ contract next season!!!
Good move for both teams. Flyers will miss having Walker, but they need to stay focused on their rebuild
As an Avs fan I'm stoked about these trades. I am sad to see Bowen Byram go but Walker is a solid D man Milttlestad can't help but be an improvement at 2C. Ross Colton has been our 2c most of the year anyway with Johansen playing third and fourth line minutes. The Avs just got better.
