Merci Sam Carrick et Oncle Rico… des gars formidables mais tristes qu’ils partent. Souhaitez-leur le meilleur ! Les Ducks obtiennent un premier choix d’Edmonton et un cinquième choix conditionnel en 2025.
If Rico gets on one of his streaks come playoffs, I think the Oilers will be more than happy with the price. When Rico’s on, he’s a beast. I think playoff Rico is gonna be fun to see.

So we either want a 1st round bounce or an oilers Stanley cup?

Good deal for both sides, but very happy with getting a first in the current market. Henrique will be a very big pickup for the Oilers and his game is a great fit for the playoffs where depth is really going to start to matter.
Unfortunately, as they are one of my least favorite teams in the league, but they’ve got a great chance to win it all this year.

He definitely did not fleece them lol.

If carricks deal is up after this year would love to resign him, guy is perfect for our young guys.

Its so funny to see Edmonton fans saying that Henriques numbers will increase on edmonton since our team is « so bad ». Brain dead fans don’t know Henrique was mainly on our top line and his TOI will suffer dramatically.

Wouldn’t be surprised, and would welcome Carrick circling his way back in the summer. Can’t get the idea of a Zegras for Byram deal that didn’t happen out of my head, but can’t get stuck in the land of dreams and let it downgrade the seemingly right moves that did get done.

This was a good value trade. I don’t think ducks should have used their last salary retention spot on Carrick. That instantly ends any speculation on moving Vatrano, Fowler, or Gibson (not that any should have been moved anyway).
At least this way we have 3 retention slots again next season.

Only a fleece if Oilers don’t win the cup.

Yup, i hope they avoid another Gaucher type of player.

Given the transactions that have already taken place, this was a good return for an expiring contract + additional filler.
Vatrano has a hell of a contract for his current production, and price tag gonna be high if he was ever on the table.
We have draft capital to make moves should we choose, and the young core being built has tons of potential.

Idk considering Edmonton was shopping halloway and we’ll get a late first pick in what’s supposed to be a terrible draft outside the first dozen picks.
We should’ve got halloway or picks in different drafts

Trading 2 guys over 30 for a 1st is pretty dope
