He is not the problem. If anything, he needs a rest for a few games including last night in Colorado. The problem is defense and has been for years. We are not quite there yet.
We are a wildcard team. We are competitive and win a few against good teams but we are still beat more times than not. We are at a spot where we are trying to break through with a soft team. We have a solid goalie and some explosive offense but struggle on D. It’s a big enough flaw that teams competing for the cup are able to take advantage of. Simple as that. Just not quite there but damn looks good.
Doesnt matter anyways. More injuries and loses until they take off the stupid patch. 👍
Alex Lyon is not the problem, Osgood sticking around is a problem.
NO! THE DEFENSE NEEDS TO TIGHTEN UP!
Lyon is a gift, as a 3 rd goaltender playing your top spot and carrying the load. From a Panthers fan who went thru the pain last year of making the playoff by one point and down to the last day……. Your team is extremely talented they just are not playing desperate hockey. The desire to leave it all out there and play 60 straight minutes tough D and forwards getting back to help out. Goal tending should be making your key saves and the rest of the team needs to be there to high danger chance are not had. I think the coach needs to drive home a stronger messaging, you can just keep going through the paces when you lose. Our guys lost last year bad and then after a back to back they were brought in the next day and made to practice. The next game they came out on fire 🔥. Where is fire and desperate to win attitude? I’m pulling to for your team to get in and stay in. I listen to buffalo of all teams are out for you. They have told to their team they play you 3 times from now until end of season and they plan to make up points by beating you. Think about that…… everyone wants in, how bad do the guy on the wings want it stay in is the question? Go wings still pulling for you from Florida as an appreciative fan of what Lyon did for us and hoping the same happens for you guys.
