What a time to be a cats fan. Can’t help but to feel like we hit the jackpot with the combination of the players on this roster, head coach, and front office. This to me felt like the moment where Zito finally stepped back and realized something special is being built here and he is the driving force behind it
So many people on the team and in the org from top to bottom truly give a shit and are investing all they have. They are here to WIN! What a massive change 10 years can bring to a hockey team.

Best GM in the league I don’t care. I remember when I first became a fan of this team nobody wanted to play for us. And guys would get traded or sign elsewhere and pretty much insinuate or flat out say they were glad to get off of our team. This means a lot.
I love this team so much. I’m sure the boys love seeing the passion and commitment from the front office.
Huberdeau was my favorite player and I was sad to see him go; but Zito making the move to get Tkachuk and move on to a new era of the org has worked out in ways I wouldn’t have thought were possible.

I can see how this man fleeces other teams. He’s a wordsmith. He takes his time to respond. Obviously he was emotional here, like others said it probably set in that he has been a driving force behind what has been built here. But regardless he’s a savage. What a time to be a panthers fan.
And let’s not forget to give credit to Vinnie Viola, Doug Cifu, and the other owners/mgmt that picked Zito and have thrown BOATLOADS of money into a team that was the joke of the league.
They stayed the course throughout the end of the Tallon era, they fucked up big time with Rowe but they recognized it and corrected. All the while keeping the wallet open.
I remember when I thought we couldn’t be anything without Hoffman, Dadonov, Marchesaault, Malgin, etc. I wanted Yandle gone from the moment he arrived. It was bleak for a minute but man this team is something special. It’s such a good time to be a Cats fan.
