@Bruins de Boston

Les Bruins de Boston font-ils une erreur ? 1. the thing is that Debrusk is not even in the top 10 "sexy" names for other teams making a push, way too streaky and seems to play well whenever he feels like it. Boston is in a pretyy good spot given all that they have lost, i think they are not doing any moves because this is the lets see where this goes season.

  2. Bruins are a lock for playoffs, it makes no sense to trade away roster players as if we're on the outside looking in. If sway/ullmark get hot, this team can make a real run. Can't just throw away the season because we might lose a man or two in the off season. Silly to do that to the players, what message does that send to them?

  3. Aren't all the expiring contracts just 1 million dollar deals where it doesn't really matter if they expire because they were contracts like Lucic, JVR, Shattenkirk, etc.? I think that was the brilliance of those signings because Sweeney knew he was going to have a lot more cap space next season, with some assets left to deal with. He was just filling out the roster with some veteran presence to keep them competitive and leave room for the younger guys to step up. I suppose what Sweeney didn't know was that the Bruins would defy all odds and be one of the best regular season teams in March…but still, I hope he realizes that this isn't the year. If he was smart he would have put Pasta on LTIR two weeks ago for a mysterious upper body injury and make a trade for Hanifin or Lindholm, and Pasta would miraculously recover just in time for the playoffs.

  4. Bruins need TWO things:
    1. a player that will prevent them from letting the other team with their goalie pulled, and
    2. a player that will help the B's win in OT/SO…which really doesn't matter since this is not how the post-season works.

  5. To be honest, this is one of the final years where Marchand, Ullmark, Pasta, McAvoy, Lindholm (H), etc. are essentially all still playing at elite levels simultaneously… dealing expiring contracts just for the sake of dealing expiring contracts, especially if it would net us only like a 3rd round pick, or a few 3rds or something…

Nah. Love ya my man but I tooooooottally disagree. It's way too important to embrace the present when your team has so many great players still playing at such an elite level. Unless we get a chance to like give away Grizz or something for a 1st round pick or whatever, I see the fact that we've got such a good team as being the priority. We should not lessen the roster simply because we have some pending UFA's

  6. Milan lucics gonna come back. Watch.

We're between 2nd and 3rd period of the Toronto game..
Zdeno Chara's up in the press box watching the Maple Leafs pummel the bruins, cross-check Brad Marchand in the throat – he's on the phone with looch right now!
Because Looch is keeping track of his cell phone these days so it's not a problem
    🙄

And after this game? Bruins fans will be very forgiving – they'll just keep showing that cross-check in the throat over and over. That's all it'll take.

    Loooooch!

February 16th, they announced that he's asking for a meeting with Gary Bettman and he's under contract," indefinite leave"

I rarely make these types of statements… Yeah this is part of the puzzle we're missing that we don't need to trade for – we have him.

    Looch is coming back.

  7. They can't close most of the rumored deals over the last couple weeks, those players since traded, because of not having any high draft pick slots to deal for the next couple draft classes. Its not the only reason. But it contributes mightily to talks proceeding. Like not having a valued tool in the tool box when trying to find the best way to fix something.

  8. Doing nothing is worse then blowing it up at this point. I’m not saying they should be going all in and spending what few picks we have remaining, but guentzel just effectively went for Bunting and a Second round pick. This lack of action shows they are fine with a first round exit, which should not be fine with the Jacobs family.

  9. Ya it was a bad idea for the panthers to not make any trades at the deadline last season too…

  10. May have done too much last year to make a true impact on the team with just a 1 for 1 deal this season, I mean these players are comfortable enough with each other and all the pieces we thought could have worked for us are gone now I dont know what else we can do…ugh.
