Clean hit Bedard should be more aware
In any other league it’s boarding, but in the NHL it’s not. Bedard knows better than to turn his back to the defense in the most dangerous place on the ice (3-5 feet from the boards in the offensive zone is the danger zone)
In my opinion it was a clean hit, but very close to being a late hit. I don't like Dumba, but he didn't target the head or anything nasty. Bedard is learning this is the NHL and he can't stand around admiring his passes. Having said that, I hope a Hawk player immediately fought Dumba sending a message that it was not OK. If not, there are big problems on the Hawk's bench. Glad Bedard bounced back up.

That's legal come on snowflakes. Hit is about 1 second after the pass while Dumba is already in motion. Couple feet away from the board but Bedard still thinks he's in the OHL and braces for impact like a pack of jello. He better start protecting himself cause it'll be a short career.
