  1. As a Pens fan this sadly had to happen when they did not have him under an extension. That said, I am a little disapointed by the return that I think sounds like a lot but might not be. Dubas daid quality over quantity… then gets 3 prospects that may be quite good but are not considered one of Carolinas 4 best. They get a 1st that is statistically not a 1st, a 5th that is statistically not a 5th and trade a young offensive d man for an over paid but usefull 28 year old.
Now ty smith was going no where with sully but the pens gave up marino for him. Thisbjust adds to the bad asset management. Here is hoping 1 or 2 of these prospects pan out although I don't think 35-40 goal scorers are in there.

  2. Dubas did good, Koivunen is a beast and Bunting will be flipped for a 1st in 12 months plus the other pieces and a conditional 1st for a rental who wouldn't resign

  3. Well if you all say Dubas is the worst GM then I hope he is…..he might accept a trade to send Crosby to the Avs for a few picks and a prospect? teehee

  4. So the Pens could have signed Bunting as a UFA in the offseason and passed, only to trade their best winger for him within the division? Sounds stupid. F Dubas, he trades for a "Leaf". Simply sign Jake Guentzel instead of this garbage. Instead of picking up an A prospect Dubas gets 3 B level prospects and gives up Ty Smith. More players instead of a good player. Instead of a 1st round pick Dubas gets a 2nd. PENS = FLEECED! Remember Dubas traded for Reilly Smith instead of signing UFA Bunting over summer. YIKES!
