  1. Slightly misleading segue in this one, the Marchand hit on Knies was AFTER McCabes cross-check

  2. First, it is time to realize that Marchand is one of the best players of the last several years in the NHL. Second McCabe should have been tossed from the game for those cross-checks. Yes, McCabe should be suspended for multiple games but I doubt Player Safety will try to keep players safe. It is time to teach players that cross-checks to the face will NOT be tolerated.

  3. Easily the best Leafs game of the year. The bruins got an asswhoping up and down the lineup all night. loved it.

  4. Cross check on Marchand was McCabe trying to get in the good graces of the committee for his player safety hearing.

  5. LOL yeah while the Leafs got smacked HARD 4-1 in back to back games. Leafs going out in the 1st round again no matter who they play, IF they even make the playoffs that is, they're only 8 points ahead of the final wildcard spot, lots of time left for them to do a classic monumental choke : )

  6. Taking a page out of Reilly's playbook there! Illegal crosscheck to the head area twice! Should be suspended just like Perron was

  7. If NHLPS suspends anyone after ignoring Marchand butt ending a player in the face a couple weeks ago, players need to start ignoring their hearing requests.

  8. doubtful mccabe receives a suspension… probably $5K at most. that's the precedent the league has set with crosschecks to the face.

reality is: mccabe should be suspended a game, marchand should be suspended for that obviously intentional hit on knies (and no i'm not giving him the benefit of the doubt, he did the exact same type of play to marcus johansson a few years ago), domi should get a fine for roughing… if player safety wants to make a statement, that is, but we all know they won't lol.

  9. this was a great hockey game to watch, Eck. Though I'm a bruins fan, this one you could TELL was going to have some grit and animosity from the get-go. Swayman even challenged Woll to a scrap! There was a TON of hitting, and penalties in this one. all in all a great game. we ought to have more of these good ol rivalry matchups instead of all the mandatory 2 games against all the other western teams that won't really matter except for points totals to get to the playoffs. This was a good hockey game and it wasn't even the bruins' top rivalry (that's against Montreal)! It will be awesome to watch if they end up as a playoff series.

  10. You have to accept incidental contact when it happens . Well of course, there it happened twice , but Mc Cabe being involved in both is purely coincidental.

  11. I am not buying the I didnt see him either, seems like Brad saw him when he changed directions and made a B line for the hit.

  12. Marchand a pathetic cheap player who got treated so well by refs its only karma coming to his “rescue”
    lol amazingly effective tho

  13. As a Leafs fan, I was completely surprised by what McCabe did, and you know what? I don't hate it. It's about time the Leafs finally got some grit again. Hockey is a dirty game, and you don't win a playoff series by being nice and friendly with the other team. Every cup winner got there with dirty plays. The Leafs are finally starting to learn that.

  14. It would be amazing watching the Bruins beat the Leafs on home ice in game 7 but it might even be more fun watching the Leafs win only to get destroyed by Florida round 2

  15. Whatever. Leafs need to win these games. I’m sick of their loser BS. Saw them win in ‘67 and it’s been a gd nightmare ever since.

  16. that's a very biased video. Eck is obviously a leaf fan. McCabe should get suspended for a couple of games. The Marchand hit was just incidental contact.

  17. The fact that this guy licked people while working while on a international broadcast and got nothing for it boggles my mind.

  18. I have seen the hit on Knies from several camera's and he 100% saw Knies coming, the Bruins were interfering with Leafs without the puck all game as they always do to teams and only once were called for it.. there were 3 BLATANT instances in the first period alone! I knew right from the start when the moron ref gave Knies a roughing penalty for grabbing a Bruin player during the scrum it wasn't going to be a good night for the Leafs.. typical ref mentality, if a Leaf does something call it, if the other team does something don't call it or take 1 from each team.. you honestly believe the Leafs have been last or near last for PP's for a decade for no reason? one of the fastest most skilled teams in the NHL?! riiiight…. most teams end the season with 40-60 yes this high, more PP's than the Leafs.. how many 5vs3's have the Bruins had this season? 7? 8? the refs are CLEARLY playing favorites and NOT calling games fairly and this is why the NHL is considered a complete joke.

  19. I don't know what sparked McCabe to do that, sure the 2nd throat chop on Marchand may have been as a result of the tap to the jewels, but the first one on DeBrusk? No idea. Hit on Knies was interference at a minimum, but no call. Throat chop on Bertuzzi was identical to the throat chops by McCabe, but McCabe gets 2 penalties to give Bruins a 5 on 3, but Leafs get a 5 on 4 for 4 min instead? Same exact play. Anyway, Leafs are done if they continue to play they have post 7 game win streak. I guess one could argue that the 'flu' is making its way through the locker room and that's the cause…
