  1. two 2nd rounders max.
do not lose the first rounder for a rental, unless its a superstar.

  2. I think I would contemplate bargain shopping if I were Toronto, sure Manson is a good option, but with Campbell hitting UFA status I don’t know if you want another contract to resign. That being said….

There is A LOT of value out there on guys who aren’t currently on playoff teams that you wouldn’t have to pay a first round pick to acquire. Here are some examples…

LW/C- Derick Brassard, playoff performer in recent seasons
LW- Zach Parise, a guy who showed out when he was much younger but still could be a valuable piece
LD- Keith Yandle, yes he’s a left shot, yes he is more of an offensive guy, but as you all have said scoring in the postseason last year was a problem.
LD- Chara, former captain, proven shot blocker, commands respect.
LD- Andy Greene, I don’t know if he wants to leave New York, but if you are talking about guys who want to chase a cup he’s in that group.

Now imagine not having to give up Robertson or Amirov, not having to give up Kerfoot (maybe), and getting some veterans in the lineup who know how to win. Go bargain hunting Kyle, it might be one of the better calls

  3. The leafs needs to be mean. Montreal bodied there ass last year because of it. Physical, Dirty, mean. Leafs need a dmen that can play that way. I would say get Chiarot.

  4. why are u guys gazing florida so much? they have the same problem as u in the playoffs?

  5. Steve: "Manson is a good RHD, which is exactly what the leafs need and they should pay any price for it."
Adam: "What would you be willing to pay?
    Steve: "Ummmmmmmmmm… Oh boy…"

  6. I wonder…. why would Ducks give up Manson when they are still racing for playoff spot? 🤔 🤔🤔

  7. OK, yes maybe saves were not the problem. However Gallagher game 7 goal has no business going in the net and changed that individual game. Yes the leafs should have not let it go to game 7 but there were some moments for Jack Campbell to want back

  8. It kind of scares me to say it was a scoring problem in talking about the playoffs. The leafs are to comfortable with outscoring their problems. The same way you say they could have scored one more you could say they should have stopped one. Either can be demoralizing. I wish the Bruins could score like the leafs but I also wish the Leafs could shut it down like the Bruins. Well this year the Bruins can't seem to shut it down either. Idk as a leafs fan as well I'd like to see more buntings and more defense in the playoffs.

  9. Hope they keep Ritchie….trade him at the draft…. he'll increase his value in the playoffs…When it comes to Holl, he's a big RH d-man …trade Dermot and Robertson….leafs need to get away from the little guys… little guys get hurt when big guys hit them

  10. Keerfoot, Ritchie, Dermott and either Robertson or Amirov and a second round pick or a first round pick for Connor Murphy and Dylan Strome.

  11. Rielly Connor Murphy
    Muzzin Brodie
    Sandin Holl
Murphy would instantly be the Leafs most physical player and is a must to win in the physical playoffs.
    Bunting Matthews Marner
    D. Strome Tavares Nylander
    Mikheyev Kampf Kase
    Robertson Spezza Simmonds
Rotate Campbell and Murazik for the rest of the regular season.
The Ducts would want Robertson Sandin and a first round pick for Manson so that's a big pass.

  12. Why am I hearing all these Anaheim guys in trade talks? They could easily make the playoffs,& if they get in…have a goalie, who has been elite, for much of his career. Yet the underachieving Oilers, everybody (at least in Canada)-acts like they are a playoff lock…maybe even a Cup contender, with a bad blue line,& terrible goaltending. I think they'll make it,but are no lock,& probably won't go far if they get in.

  13. Don’t give away a first round pick for a rental, that’s my only suggestion. Even if Foligno doesn’t get injured last year, if you lose him to free agency, it is not worth losing that first round pick.

  14. 4 million for a backup goalie is more then a reason to trade Mrazek they signed him to maybe be a potential starter cause they weren't sure on Campbell yet 4mill is far to high for a guy who wont see a game in the playoffs plus you want to sign Campbell back there not gonna put 10mill into goalies when there already hard against the cap

  15. Trade for a good quaterback since they have the same odds of making the superbowl as they do of winning a playoff round.

  16. Trade Morgan Reilly, Holl, Dermott and get some real good defensemen. They need someone with a cannon slap shot would make PP even better

  17. Toffoli is making 4.25M AAV, which has looked like a very reasonable number for what he's done thus far. I dunno if it's going to stay that way going forward since he's missed significant time with injury

  18. @1:59 The ducks aren't making the playoffs, that's a mirage, they have too many games played with a 0.573 record, the Oilers and Flames both have 6 games in hand over them and have a better % record. Ducks miss the playoffs. Kings get 2nd wild card, ducks are out
