Little fact about stankoven he used to go to my school in Kamloops and I used to play road hockey with him during lunch hours and let me tell you when you were in net it was like a piss missile when he shot. Glad to see him in the NHL!!!

How much hockey has changed: about 15 years ago the Islander brought in a guy named Mitch Fritz who was, basically, an early version of Rempe. Same size, same purpose. Nowadays, since such players are so rare, Rempe becomes a cult hero while Fritz is only a guy on old fight videos.

As a Stars fan, I've had a close eye on Stankoven for a while. He has not disappointed at the NHL level, looks like the real deal. As deep as the Stars are we still have so many prospects knocking on the door. First Wyatt Johnston, then Stankoven and look out for Maverik Bourque next.
