Some things to consider in this game: 1) A flu is going thru the Leafs team right now. 2. TOR was the 2nd of a back to back 3. BOS scored their first goal on a 5-3 for 2 min. 4. TOR outshot BOS. Its not like Boston was all that better in this game. They were not. Swayman was far better than Woll and that was the difference. Boston DID play a good game. Agreed. But it was far closer than the 4-1 score and the Leafs were handicapped by illness and fatigue. In a 7 game series you'd have to give Boston the edge, likely Boston in 6. it was stupid of brad to trade away so many draft picks for rentals this season. i would have done nothing. TOR is a good team this year but there are so many teams which are much better. PS: I am a Leafs fan.

Its clear now that binging in physical players isnt enough. We need our top players themselve to be both high point producers AND physical just like bruins players. Our point producers are soft, we need to trade Matthews for a historic hull I dont care how many goals he puts up.

As a normal hockey fan that hates the Leafs, I'm glad, I'm ready for that first round sweep by Boston so we can all get last year's rematch with Florida and Boston.

The on ice product is not championship level. Approaching 60 years without a championship in this hockey market is shameful. Over 30 years without a Canadian team winning is an absurdity. We need a “mission” type top down commitment to do what it takes.

Funny how Edmonton is in the same boat in terms of being a top heavy team with having mcdavid and draisaitl, but ultimately is not a playoff team. People call them a cup contender and I wholeheartedly think as soon as they play Vancouver or Boston or Colorado they will fall like a loose brick on a building
I completely agree on what is said about Boston. They are solid on what they do. This team has been around long time and are a nightmare to face. Structure in offence and defence along with excellent goalies.. Great core and commitment team. Playoffs maybe another treat but I still like them even better than the last year. Just me maybe. But my bet is. If these two teams face POs… I bet on the one who has less changes on the late season. More tight knitted. I go for Boston even I am not a gambling man.
Neither of these teams will make it past the 2nd round. Neither of them can compete with the likes of NYR, Carolina, or Florida. Leafs Cup Parade cancelled.

Doesn't matter how big or physical the other team is, the Leafs cave hard if you don't give them space to play with the puck. Nailed it with the Man-D vs Zone D comparison. This team is not built for playoff hockey, it's built to put on a show during the regular season.

Actually BOS is playing too soft against most of the League. However, against TOR they seem to ‘man’ up.
Bruins have tougher team practices than the two games combined with Leafs this week…
90% of the NHL is too soft for the NHL these days, seems with every season we get closer to European hockey and away from the physical American hockey we all love AND before you all go in and get upset I'm not talking shit about European hockey, it's a great product and produces some of the greatest players, but that's in Europe. I'm not saying I want Stevens v. Kariya open ice murders, but players are leaving themselves open and getting hurt constantly b.c. they're not expecting the hit…Lastly were the cross checks worth it leafs fans????😂😂😂😂

The Leafs losing to the Bruins in 2013 or 2014 at age 10 or 11 is why I lost interest in hockey as a sport. Only at age 20 was I interested in the sport again because of your weekly recaps. Nice to know the Leafs are still weak to the Bruins.

teams do the same thing to the wings, and in general when teams get hounded they make more mistakes and are rarely able to set thier style of play to achieve a win.
