It annoyed me that Reddit dragged Jake so hard. I wish him all the best.
And p.s he was our best shootout goalie.

Jake had agreed to stay on and help with the rebuild IIRC. He certainly has had an impact on Gally. I cannot see he didn’t have the same on the other younger players.
we say goodbye to another quality player who has given to benefit the team. Like Toffoli, Monahan and Edmonston, I salute them and wish them all the best. Seriously, Jake was the rock we needed when Cary went down. Let’s all just give him a big shout out and pour one out for him.
When Pacioretty was traded, I would have bet pretty heavily on Gallagher being the next captain; Brendan says all the right things. (Except, maybe, to the refs…. And at the time of the trade, I didn’t know this Nick Suzuki kid they got back from Vegas, at all.)
Jake was a fan favourite in St Louis for reason. Sadly, some fans just love to shit on players and turn blind eye on others just because they can.
