    This present team going nowhere as it stands ! I guess not interested in making playoffs d is weak so is goaltending .

    This is one of those things that will trigger whiners, but long-term is probably the best move. Unless we absolutely shit the bed over the next two weeks our rebuild is still very much on-schedule. Making the playoffs with what we've got is the goal to develop the core. If that goal is achieved then NEXT YEAR is where we start building ourselves into cup contenders.

    Horrible move. Should have just not done anything. Holl is who needed to be moved. Obviously that couldn't happen because no one wants that contract or him in general. Toronto obviously proved that last summer by allowing Yzerman to sign him. So you stay put.

    Honestly, I don't have much hope they'll make the PO's unless Edvinsson comes in plays great. This group of d-me is flat out bad and the goaltending is still suspicious.

    Yeah, let’s get rid of the one guy on the team who would drop the gloves. 🙄 Not that he ever played, anyway. Now when Bergren or Edvinsson come up and get boarded head-first, the rest of the Wings can stand around looking helpless like, “what do we do?” This team is pathetically soft, we have NOBODY who will freaking stand up and beat the brakes off some thirsty jackass when it’s called for. So tired of other teams taking cheap shots and nothing happens.

    Need to talk about the locker room morale that happens because we didn’t go crazy at the deadline. Stevie mentioned this. Those in the room now know they have trust and it’s on them. They have good chemistry that may have Changed with an addition. That room got us to where we are.

    It looks like Yzerman knew no one or two additions of who was out there was going to make them a cup contender. Why not ride them and see if they can make the playoffs?

    The game was downright pitiful

    No synergy or chemistry
    No controlled possession
    No pressure
    No speed
    No luck

    Outside of Raymond’s one chance they’ve looked like an AHL team. No leadership, talent, or poise on display I just don’t get it.

    It feels like that garbage patch cursed them.

    I expect a loss against Vegas, but if they don’t go and win 5 of the next 6 (while beating Isles in Reg) I don’t have high hopes we will make the playoffs anymore
