Just heared Henrique 75 % retained (Anaheim 50%, Tampa another 25% of his 5.8M) – great move to get him for that amount of money. Plus an additional right shot PK center with some toughness is good return. So they can move out Brown and Ryan.

Henrique (75% retained between Anaheim and Tampa Bay), Carrick (50% retained by Anaheim) and a 7th round pick to the Oilers for a 1st (to Anaheim), a conditional 5th (to Anaheim) and a conditional 4th (to Tampa Bay) for the extra 25% retention on Henrique. While both are rentals if the price is right (and the skill is there) Carrick may linger. Doubtful for Henrique allowing solely for salary.

That’s exactly what needed, Henrique is excellent second line or third line player. “Fleeced” have you looked at next year’s draft?? Didn’t have give up a farm assets that’s a win! Size and some one who has experience, we need that depth in the 3rd and 4th line.
Just need that D man so we have options and depth for a long run!

I disagree …Ryan should be traded ahead of Brown. But Brown needs to sign for lesser amount in the off season if he wants to stay with the Oilers.

Going to miss Henrique in Anaheim. Carrick will also add grit Edmonton wants. Fans liked both in Anaheim. The Oilers now have legit depth throughout. Don't blow it!
