Didn’t know Wennberg had wheels
Not the worst thing for Truba let him rest the guy is a absolute warrior, enjoy your time off Captain. Jones has put in the time and kept his mouth shut he deserves some minutes. Rems more and more is looking like a player and more importantly a valuable player that our opponents don't care for. Ross and Wennberg are both excellent speed skaters miles ahead of Wheeler.
Team looked hyped with the new guys, Roslivic and Wennberg blend in the with guys well. Would love to see what Brodzinsky can do with Wennberg, but Cuhlye has 300% earned the spot.
Rempe has gained the trust of coach. He can play and his crushing hits will help in playoffs when opposing teams are looking over their shoulders every time he’s on ice.
Jones has far more hate than he deserves hasn’t always been good but it looks like he is figuring it out not bad to practice with a playoff team as a guy in his spot

Rempe should concentrate on delivering massive hits, and playing hockey. If he needs to fight then fight. He seems to be doing more of that now.
Told all the doomers that wanted guentzel at the deadline show friday that Roslovic was a underrated move. Looked comfortable out there on that first line. Rempe impressed me with this game looked pretty good out there improvements made it seems

I have a feeling Drury was looking at team chemistry when he made these trades, the subtle things that make a good so much better. I hope everyone on the Canes hates Guentzel and that trade implodes.
Obviously we have one game to go on but the signs are good. These new guys want a cup. Rempe is playing with fire in his belly and could be a difference maker if he keeps his head on straight. He's not just a brawler. The Ranger faithful love the guy, rightfully.
That was a goal for Rempe.
Zac Jones played a solid game
The Truba injury is a blessing in disguise. This way he’ll be nice and rested for the playoffs, because not many players give more in the playoffs than him.
I am glad we still have Jones he might be behind Gus at this point but once he gains a little more strength he will be a big nhl defenceman

The only thing I would change about the team right now is I would swap out Goodrow for Edstrom. I don't care how much Goodrow makes. If you can't send him down just make him a healthy scratch or something.

On Trouba : The last time I seen the stat. He’s the only player in the league with at least 150 hits AND 150 blocked shots. That was about a week ago, Whether someone else has hit 150 in both since then.. idk.
On Rempe: Love Rempe mania!!! I think it’s funny how many people have changed their player name to Matt Rempe (me included lol… to be fair, I changed mine before I seen anyone else change) in CHEL on NHL ‘24. I see 2-3 Matt Rempe’s every time I get on and play a few CHEL games.
Drury made the correct moves. He obviously learned from last year. Big names don’t always mean a better team
If Rempe would have followed his shot to the net, he would have easily just tucked the puck in the net from the goal line. Good game regardless from the kid, but would’ve loved to see him earn that goal and just follow the shot.

It was a nice win, but I don't think we have enough to seriously compete for a cup. It would be interesting if Rempe was the wild card in the playoffs kind of how Dustin Byfuglien was to Chicago in one of their Cup-winning runs!
