Let me guess, one of the ego inflated, thin skinned refs got his feelings hurt over Torts saying something that was probably half as bad as the way these out of control, ego maniacs talk to players and coaches all the time. League needs to put these refs in check. From jock sniffing some players, being buddy buddy with them, to screaming obscenities at others, they need to shut up and call the game. Zero accountability for these thin skinned, self important clowns.
I miss early 90s hockey. It always confused me that in order to sell hockey to one of the most violent countries in the world, the NHL had to be a much less violent and more sanitized game. You rarely see fights. Enforcers are all but gone. It’s not my fault as a hockey fan that Americans are giant hypocrites. Sure , you don’t want coaches holding up games by screaming at coaches, but this went on all the time. It seems like as the game has been sanitized, the quality of officiating has taken a nosedive.
Tort’s n Wes… now I would pay some money for 5 minutes of that at center ice… forget about the game! Building would sell out in minutes and every hockey fan in the world would watch! 😂
Honestly the reffing in the NHL these days is by far the worst it's ever been. I've mostly hated it ever since they brought in two refs. One ref was bad enough. It's hard to even watch much regular season hockey anymore with the reffing so terrible and inconsistent. Fix this crap NHL.
I played under torts for 3 yrs and hes a different breed. U either love him or hate him, he even yells at his guys in the dressing room when ur winning. Its a bumpy ride with torts at the wheel 🤣
