We had to fight off a lot of doomers around here who were convinced the team had no talent and that coaching change wouldn’t matter. The « rough » start under Roy fed them because they are too blind to see that it takes time to break habits and install new systems.

Now we are seeing the fruits of that patience. The team is clicking, he found the right line combos and a lot of the bad habits are gone. They are no longer getting out shot every game, their shooting is more efficient, they’re more aggressive, they’re dominating games now.

It’s god damn refreshing. The real true test for me is March 19th against the Canes. A team the Isles have always struggled against, a team playing well and with heavy shut down shot suppression hockey, and a team that is a high chance the Isles meet again in round one.
