Yesterday was a perfect example of how enforcers do not deter anything. Devils get MacDermid to keep Rempe in check, and Rempe still delivers a cheap shot and hides behind the linesmen on his way out.
I also find it super frustrating to watch this team struggle to generate any sort of offense, but somehow the takeaway here is that the team needs more goons.
Last game of the season for me, we’re not close to being at the top. We under appreciated Miles Wood, Sevo, Gravy and McLeod. We need a drastic makeover because we are way inferior to the Rangers, Canes and Panthers. This goes beyond goaltending and to the core group, which I believe has to be modified in order to be championship caliber.
I can’t believe how many people are calling that “a hit” or “a bad hit.”

People are going to call me over-reactionary for this but this team 100% needs a hardass for their next coach.
Lindy and Green have allowed this entire locker room to redevelop a fine culture of losing after I thought those days were long gone last year.
Offense got nothing going, defense played… *alright*(?) and goaltending looked better than what we had. This proves to me at least that any goaltender in the building is getting taught the incorrect things, which is just another person that shouldn’t be in this building come October.
That “hit” still has me absolutely pissed off. The kid needs a taste of his own medicine and it won’t happen from us because the rangers are going to scratch him on 4/3. I’m calling it now, he won’t be in the lineup. I want somebody to answer for what has happened, so someone better step up and fill in the new kids shoes to answer the bell. That’s all I have on that.

I believe Rempe deserves a Max fine and 5 game sussy.
I also believe the Rags scratch him for the game on 4/3. If they don’t, Mac needs to take him immediately. If they do. Run their stars and goalie and send a message. Actions have consequences and avoiding the consequences of your actions has other consequences
Sign Mac to the longest deal possible. He’s on our Cup team. Entire vibe is changed knowing the team has a guy ready to make people pay.
What’s been up with Jack? Ever since his return to the lineup he’s been playing like a shell of his former self, especially given how he started off the season.
Clearly this team isn’t making the playoffs so assuming he’s dealing with a lingering injury, which is serious enough that it’s affecting is play given he’s mostly out on the wing now, why not shut him down for the season? I get wanting to play through it but it’s surely a difficult conversation worth having w/ him with given the trajectory of the season.
Bring up Stillman and put him on a line with Kermit
This team is somehow broken. Our transition game and rush scoring has evaporated. Our power play is a joke. If I have to watch one more telegraphed drop pass or forced cross ice pass on a break away I’ll puke.
