You wanna see a dirty hit? Look behind you and you'll see one of the dirtiest hits on NHL history when Stevens blatantly hit Kariya in the head when he didn't even have the puck. You sir are a hypocrite .

  2. That was pathetic, I had very little belief that the Devils would win this game but was looking forward to MacDermid getting in there and taking care of business for his new team. What I didn't expect was that the refs would intervene and prevent that from happening. Fighting is in the DNA of this sport. It seems like there has been a video put out after every Rangers game since he came up taking out someone. Now that he is about to come up against a formidable opponent the league steps in and prevents the inevitable. Will this be the new norm moving forward that Rempe can take out players and the Refs will now step in and protect him before the teams can retaliate? #efftheRefs

  3. Rempe is a total coward but the refs not letting the fight happen is way more concerning to me. They should all be fired.

  4. Yeah man. I fully agree. What was he doing? The ref should have let them go at it. Rempe needed to drop gloves

  5. The NHL's new motto, "Screw the players, protect the Goons" As for Kahkonen's performance? He held the Rangers to under 4 goals so I guess that progress.

  6. I couldn’t agree more with this take. I hate all Rangers players. ( not saying I don’t respect them as a team or what they have done this season ) but being a die hard devils fan that’s what we do. Loved what this kid had brought to the game but last night I lost all respect for him and will be rooting for his downfall from here on out.

  7. As a wise man once said "Don't let your mouth write checks that your ass can't cash". That was Rempe last night. Isn't this goof supposed to be in Hartford anyway? 😂

  8. Rempe better be staying here is my new favorite player he treats the devils organization just like they deserve (a poverty franchise)

He is like your average rangers fan

  9. How is our power play this bad? The personnel is basically the same, minus Hamilton on the point but with Hughes, Bratt, Timo, Palat, Mercer etc..is it the coaching? Of all our issues, thats a mystery to me, we look completely lost on the power play. Regarding grit, I seriously doubt that anyone will be aquired. Our GM is a puppet for ownership.

  10. It carzy how many goals get scored on them based off of big mistakes. MIstake=goal almost every time. WE dont even make opther teams work for it half the time. And my GOD do they look so down trodden and low energy. Absolutely wild to see considering last year they were all over the place, buzzin'.

  11. Ugh…..what a night. I think you nailed it. In the end, we got outplayed as has been the case much of the season, we're so damn soft and we're never going to go far in the post season (or even get there) unless we toughen up substantially. They looked pretty good first period, better energy, some better hitting, although not enough shots on goal but the period was an improvement over recent games. Second started the same and I was pleasantly surprised with Kaapo's efforts in the net (bar is pretty low however, LOL). The hit on Luke was a rough one (and the right call) but he shook it off.

Then the landslide of total bullshit came down the mountain. I thought Rempe was possibly the next Boogaard. A big enforcer with limited skills there to make a name for himself as the new "toughguy", bringing some "old time hockey" excitement to the Rangers and league. Last night he showed his true colors. A cheap shot shitbag who doesn't have the balls to honor what the rest of the league knows is the code. Should have had the balls to drop gloves in the 1st but didn't, however after that hit on Siegs………come on Refs!!!! Total failure. You HAVE to let that play out, Big Mac should have been left to deal with this punk. Just an absolutely disgusting display of disfunction from multiple parties.

Rempe ate a full meal, skipped out on the check while grabbing a dessert from the dessert cart on his way out the door being held by Laviolette, with the Refs preventing the owner from calling the cops. Disgraceful. The baby wave to Mac was icing on the cake. I don't want to hear "he's young", he's a bitch and knew full well he was about to get a beating worse than what Olivier gave him. Kid is a sideshow and will be 1) back to the AHL very soon or 2) going to get a season/career ending hit/beating. Any respect this league had for him just went up in smoke.

  12. It’s fairly ignorant to regard Rempe as a coward for not fighting. Dude just fought Reaves for goodness sakes. It’s very clear the bench is telling him when he can or cannot go for it. I wouldn’t expect a Devil’s fan to be aware of this, but like I said, ignorance. There’s another NYR v Devils game in April, where likely the devils will be all but mathematically eliminated. I’m sure Laviolette will be happy to let Rempe smash yet another face in at that point.

  13. There are no winners and no MEN on this team. There is a rotten culture right now where they have accepted losing. Tough to watch. Jack and Bratt are not clutch at all. Need a complete culture change. No goalie is saving this team as currently constituted.

  14. Good call kids to not fight 👏 really happy MacDermid let the fan cry 😢 but really good call recover first 👍 we are not in the 70's.. most people were really happy that he don't drop the glove …

  15. As a Bruins fan I have to agree with you. Rempe is NOT a hockey player. He is a GOON. A cowardly goon and nothing more than that. He does not belong in the NHL, the AHL, ECHL or even indy pro. He belongs in jail.

  16. As an Avs fan, it really sucks to see MacDermid get denied like that. I agree that Rempe's conduct was absurd — no clue why he thinks it's okay for him to deny the fight, throw a dirty elbow, and then have the gall to wave goodbye? He doesn't care about respecting the code, he's just trying to make a name for himself because he knows he's not skilled enough to stay in the lineup without his circus antics. Rough season for the Devils, and on a night when you all should have been able to feel a little bit of retribution, you get denied by a clown.

  17. What he did yesterday was a work of art. Listen to you? You’re just as rattled as the bench was last night. He will get it together and when he does….

That’s what you get for giving a pick for hitman just for this game. We got to watch a 30 year old chase around a kid and get laughed at.

That’s worth the price of admission.

  18. wow. coping hard over a guy with 2 black eyes who fights every night doesnt want to fight a guy from your team below the playoff line. guy has 54 pims in 10 games avging enough to have 432 in 80 games. way more then a player like even mcsorley ever had. cry harder
