Earlier in the season, you can tell that Brett was way over his head as the colour guy. Awkward pauses, some stuttering between some hockey knowledge, etc. While he's still not close to the level of Larscheid or Garrett, and he doesn't have the on-air experience of Ferraro or Tomlinson, Festerling has certainly gotten way better.
I've only listened to 10 minutes of his colour and my first impression was I actually liked his commentary and there was zero cringe factor. It's been a long time.

I've listened to Festerling on 650 all season. Didn't picture this face with his voice for some reason.
