Kinda funny how the Norris has turned into « Art Ross for Defenseman » but I don’t think anybody watching Quinn this year could argue that he doesn’t deserve it

I’m not too familiar with how winning the Norris works. Can someone tell me if Makar passes Hughes in points by the end of the season, will it mean Makar wins? Or does it go by whoever votes? (Who does vote for it btw?)

It’s easy for the casual fan to say Makar deserves it but fail to realize the team that Makar is playing for and the company that he has.
Hughes has great teammates but the past five seasons he’s had to play with a rotation of defense partners and questionable others and STILL one of the top defensemen in the league.

He’s the best puck possession player in the league. He should be a top5 candidate for heart trophy. He dictates the play night in and night out

One good thing going on the Makar Hughes debate is that they are both on the west coast (ish). If either was on the East Coast, they would win in a landslide from eastern media voters not seeing the other play.
