  1. Rempe will be a menace in the playoffs. No one wants to go near him when he heads into the corners or skates, awkwardly, into the zone. Take it easy bud. He’s here, and not going anywhere.

  2. I learned a long time ago that NHL fans are like any other sports fans, and they're absolutely not above making absurdly heinous, unhinged and ridiculous comments. During the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals when the series and rivalry between the two teams and the two cities was at its height, I saw multiple comments from Bruins fans on FaceBook and YouTube saying nasty things about the Sedin twins (and other players) that were beyond despicable, and at least one person made a comment saying he hopes the Canucks' plane crashes…. "Psychotic" doesn't even begin to describe some of the fans.

  3. So I agree going after the dead dad and tagging the sister is too far.

Saying they hope Rempe gets boarded and his career ends I will defend, it's just saying they hope he gets what he's dishing out.. Like you've stated he's playing dangerously and could end someone else's career.

  4. Much ado about nothing. No family members, should ever be attacked, or harassed by a crazed, TINY group. The 99.9% of Devils fans, are decent people. That said, Rempe, is a criminal, who literally assaulted a player on the ice, causing a concussion. Sympathy for the perp? Yeah, NO.

  5. Devils fans are the biggest reason I'm a Ranger fan despite having to literally go past the front door of their building to get to mine. I've lived in New Jersey my entire life and in general I really like it here or I wouldn't stay. But chances are, if you're from somewhere else, you have certain stereotypes about all 9 million people who live here, and yeah…there are definitely some people who are the reason you think those things. And the Devils have always gone out of their way to appeal to that mindset, going at least all the way back to some of my formative memories of hockey at the beginning of the '90s, and really probably to the day they arrived from Colorado.

  6. Anyone that says stuff like this has no interest in the game at all. They watch different things in order to try and make stupid remarks to people. It’s annoying that we have people like this in our world.

  7. These are outlier idiots that do not represent the majority of the Devils fanbase. They are children who've lost all sense of self awareness and think they can say anything they want because they are doing so anonymously. That is all this is.

  8. As a devils fan, yes i do agree that Rempe shouldve been kicked out, but that doesnt give other devils fans the right to send things like that. Have the rangers fans done similar things, absolutely, but that still doesnt justify anything

  9. As a devils fan this is terrible, I cant help but draw similarities between this and the Nazem Kadri situation.

  10. Some fans are always going to say unbelievably nasty things online after something like this. Kind of sad but it is what it is

  11. "Smoking rempe dad this gas or what" is basically celebrating that his dad is dead… that's crazzzy.

  12. Ah yes a reminder to act like humain being and treat others like humain beings online. Sad that this type of video needs to be made but not suprised. Good job calling this behaviour out.

  13. None of this is okay, but all could've been avoided by him being a man and accepting a fight with MacDermid. Young kid who needs to learn. Simple as that.

  14. Rempe electrifies his bench. He gives it his all. In doing so he creates scoring chances. We focus on Rempe but ignore Gudas and Perry?

  15. This is completely out of line. My heart and prayers go to him and his family. As a rangers fan I love the kid, who wouldn't, old school hockey is like no other sport, that being said he earned those four games.
Now that he's made a name for himself as the big giant destroyer, he needs to utilize that fear much like trouba(who had also had his moments)(coming from a winnipeger) people generally avoid certain areas or passes when he's defending on the ice because if he catches you it's a train lane. And that goes for any player that has the enforcer capabilities. So for rempe he needs to come back with composure and play a tough but also smart game. The league knows he's here every player in the league below 6ft knows he's there. So be that looming shadow that people will shoulder check for, lay down those big hits but do it respectfully lol keep em elbows down. He's also 6-8 so we've seen this many times with big players where they go for a hit and try to brace themselves as the crash into the boards and the 5-11 victim is at a lower point and is in risk of getting a shoulder to the head or an elbow. It's hard to players like rempe or Chara to be physically involved because they have to chose there moments more carefully. Otherwise it looks like they're head hunting. Lemme know your thoughts if you agree or disagree.

  16. No offense but Scott Stevens did the same thing back in the day hit everyone in the head and rarely got railed himself but he was challenged by Tie Domi and that pansy ran away so it goes both ways!! This Rempe thing brings back those days of bad blood between nyr and njd and kind of enjoying seeing others get that hit and crying about it as fans of other teams did when Stevens did it to their players!! By no means am I a fan of hitting in the head but now the NJ Debbies fans know what it's like when Stevens knocked out other players!!

  17. Devils fans need to chill. They don't have a Rempe problem. Blame your GM. He assembled arguably one of the most fragile Devil lineups ever. The Hughes brothers, Bratt, Holtz, Hischier, Mercer, Palat, Nemec, Marino, Siegenthaler. 6'6 Hamilton and Meier don't get a pass either. Plugging in MacDermid for 4 minutes a night ain't gonna cut it.

  18. Rangers fan and Rempe fan. The hit was absolutely worthy of a suspension. I felt 2 to 3 games, but I'm not freaking out over 4. His waving as he's escorted off the ice was childish behavior, and hopefully he grows out of that. The devils fanbase misbehaving is absolutely deplorable, calling him out for an illegal hit and such is perfectly in line. Tagging family members and wishing the kind of stuff that was being sent his way was disgraceful.

  19. The boy is young has lots to learn if you look at the play over and over again the guy was shorter than him. He didn’t even look at him to line him up to hit him with the elbow. People need to stop demonizing the kid and just calm the hell down

I don’t see anyone demonizing Malkin for all the cruel and dirty things he does so in my opinion people need to just relax and look at the play again and again and again
