By the way, this is the text from the official rulebook. Looks pretty straightforward to me:
"If a player legally carries, passes or plays the puck back into his
own defending zone while a player of the opposing team is in such
defending zone, the off-side shall be ignored and play permitted to
continue. "
It's pretty clear to me that based on this definition, the play should have been considered on-side, and therefore the goal should not have been overturned.

I think the refs honestly didn't know the rule and were covering for themselves afterward. Second time this season. Krug brought in. Period. Add on the 5 on 3 that looked pretty bad on both calls and you get a loss caused by the refs. Yeah 5-1 L, but i like overblaming refs when they deserve legit blame for any goal.
