The Hockey Guy still thinks it’s possible to make the playoffs and so do I. The wings are streaky this year, and yeah they probably are not ready to make a run. If they can heat up for the last 10-15 games or so, I think we will make it.
Sure we need Larkin back, but that’s out of the team’s control right now. I believe in the roster Yzerman has given us, and I think we have some studs who can play solid hockey at the NHL level. Questions lie with Lalonde and his system where overall it has been satisfactory this year, leading me to believe it can be enough to make the playoffs.
I think momentum is huge with this team. If we can start these next few games against lower teams in the standings well, the boys should be able to carry it into the end of the season and beyond.
