Les Flyers sont-ils la plus petite équipe de la LNH
De nouvelles informations sur la décision des Flyers de renoncer à Ryan Johansen après avoir échangé pour lui donnent à l’organisation un aspect mesquin.
From the flyers perspective, why risk Johansen spoiling the locker room while they still try and push for the playoffs? Another team could have easily picked him off waivers if he had ANY value.
We traded Sean walker for a first pick but Colorado said Philadelphia could only have it if they took him. He has been said to have a not so nice personality.
Putting him in waivers had nothing to do with who is agent is. It has to do with 1. He is possibly still dealing with an injury. 2. He has lost a step. 3. No team claiming him shows his true value and true assets. If he could help the Flyers out Torts would have him in the lineup.
I wouldn't say its petty exactly….just the Flyers actually being smart. Let him go on waivers, he can rehab his injury play in the AHL and if they need veteren presence for a play-off run call him up, sounds like smart management really plus it worked out well for the Avs who are my team lol. On a side note am I the only person worried that a Coach being a petulant idiot gets a two game suspension and $50,000 fine…..yet a player can be a repeat offender with bad hits multiple incidents to even get a tenth of the fine and half the games.
This isn't that complicated. They only got Johansen because taking him on was the only way they could get a 1st for Walker. They have no need for him so they waived him and sent him to the Phantoms. If Danny Briere thought he could help the team he'd be playing. Briere might not be completely all in this season because he's building for the future but you can tell by his other moves that he'd still like to give this team a chance in the playoffs(without mortgaging the future) but Johansen just isn't part of it, and not out of spite either
