The refs should be fired. My god. Holding: not called. Spearing: not called. Boarding & crosschecks: not called until they both magically become penalties later after a fight and scrum break out.
An average scrum causing a 5 minute delay of refs trying to figure stuff out is ridiculous. More evidence the NHL is seeking to slowly get rid of all physicality and tough play, all emotion.

The refs have been messing around with the Flames for almost 40 years going all the way back to their first Stanly cup final in 1986. The refs tend to pick a player and his team for some kind of privilege before it was Crosby and pissburg that get away with almost everything but now it seems to be MicDaivid and the Oilers that get way with anything they want.
Calgary has been bipolar the last couple months. They put together a few wins against very good teams, and you think they just might climb back into a playoff spot, then they lose a few to teams they simple have to beat. Just when I am ready to write them off, they have run like the last week or so.
If the team that is beating the Jets, Bruins and oilers in succession sticks around, they would surely make the playoffs, and be dangerous. It’s that team also loses to teams below them on the regular that must drive their coaches and fan base nuts.
They should let Perry go with someone…
