  1. I was there at the game. Miller was the only one driving the Canucks tonight, everyone else looked pathetic, Pettterson was not existent, Blueger was the worst player on the ice . Idiotic penalty call with a 1 handed hook on Mackinnon, what the fuck was that, thanks idiot ref? And of course they scored on the PP as it was a 5 on 3 at that point. Missed call on a blatant high stick on Hughes which should have been an easy call. Reffing turned the game in the Avs favour at a pivotal point. Regardless, the Canucks weren't working after the first, and as I said, J.T. was the only one who tried; and they let the Avs take over the game by being lazy. Typical let down, blow a great lead, go into OT and lose it just like they did 20x a season before the last 2 for years. It was an absolute embarrassment. They were talking about how this was going to be a playoff game and no one showed up besides J.T.

  2. It was like once they got up a couple of goals they thought they had it in the bag. Play it out and go home. Colorado has guys like McKinnon that will play to the last whistle. A very disappointing effort tonight. Simply not good enough when the Av's pushed back.

  3. Canucks will have a tough time if they play Avs in the playoffs. maybe game over ! good effort first 40 minutes. then Avs took over third period. love Tocchet if he tells it like it is. this kind of coach to help this Cupless Franchise to perhaps. a first Stanley Cup in the future. time will tell

  4. Nevermind blowing a 3 goal lead against a team on a back to back. We got absolutely smoked for 40 minutes of that game. What a disgusting game. Playing bluegar, juulsen and (cole?) in overtime in the pk was absolutely baffling. Maybe put your best players out there.

  5. They need more grit for the playoffs or they won't get far unfortunately this management went all in again..

  6. All Good! We will Regroup and give full 60min and ya Kick Sum Butt! I liked DeSmith played very well when called on to make some big stops. We have 7 more straight home games! GO CANUCKS!!

  7. Again pettersen was a no show and very soft and lazy. Why they didn't trade him when they had a chance to actually get a playoff player is beyond me. 11.6 million for a boat anchor. Signing someone based on points total means nothing if most of those points come against lessor opponents or on the pp or shootouts. 5×5 he is invisible most nights.

  8. I' remain "hopeful" they run deep in the playoffs, but reailty is: they lack playoff experience compared to the true heavyweights Avs, oilers, Knights etc they'll face. those teams experience show up in this home stretch and especially in playoffs. I suspect this team needs to earn it thru a few round 1-2 losses just like everyone else before we can enjoy sustained, deep runs in a couple years

  9. They were the softest team in the league last season when they set a record for coughing up multigoal leads. When you are a contender and have a 3 goal lead you should win. End of story right?

  10. Love how everyone is freaking out because they blew a 3 goal lead against Colorado who the Canucks have always struggled with, and well many teams honestly do. When the Canucks beat LA, Vegas and Winnipeg… some teams match up better with certain teams.

  11. Not once, while watching the game, did I see Tocchet ream out the bench in the third period. The broadcast just saw him standing behind the bench emotionless. You're the coach; it's your job to get your players playing the right way. The only thing that's "soft" is Tocchet.

  12. They played like immature kids. Intensity disappeared in the third. A big part of that was because desmith was in net so the team played with a little bit of insecurity. A team like aves will expose that. With demmer in net, they win the game.

  13. No head hangin.get out there and get er done.how is 95 million dollar man?he should go to Abbotsford freaking prima Donna!Jt Miller should be getting EP’s salary.they won’t make it past the first round.you heard it here.

  14. casey DeSmith and JT miller showed up. Everyone else didnt wanna play a hockey game. They wanted a stroll at the park. Don't even get me started on pettersson. He can't make a play without losing his balance or losing control of the puck. its actually pathetic

  15. The problem is that the Canucks always stop playing once they have a few goal lead. They weren't even playing well when they were up three goals. Lazy soft team that will be swept in the first round.

  16. Canucks were too complacent in the 3rd period. You can't played like that against Colorado. They have too much power to do nothing. Another lesson for Canucks!

  17. rick tochett great couch! jt miller i always notice him on the ice! hes a giver! plays hard! but petty he must be nervoius or some thing he aint doing f all! wt u think about that mr ruthford!

  18. knucks bef the all star break they were great! 1st half, season np! since all star break, except for first 2 weeks march, i been knucks fan 30 years ive seen thois many times! it seems to repeat over and over again! they can keep on changing couches all they want! nothing will ever change about consistancy! it might be great for 20 games or 45 games but once they loose consistancy it migth come back slightly but after things get fcked again! ive seen this 30 years

  19. Petterson is over priced, guy afraid of his own shadow, most clubs would not payed high price for a loser

  20. I just don’t understand why this team of singularly focused professional athletes, don’t seem to have good enough cardio to even play 3 periods of hockey at full pace.

They do it again and again and again. Come out flying, looking like one of the fastest, most skilled teams in the league. They play 2 periods of fast paced hockey, usually high scoring (admittedly also allowing lots of goals), dictating play and speeding through the neutral zone with numbers and control of the puck. Third period comes and they lose all speed, all intensity, as if they are completely out of energy. If they've scored enough goals in period 1 and 2, they'll squeek out a win, if it's a close game against a good team, they drop the ball every time.

They can be such a fun team to watch, and little spurts of greatness show you what could be, but they're still gonna be nothing but a tease and a disappointment to fans until they can play with some type of consistency and finish games strong, late in the season.

  21. Man I hope Petterson starts to look better…every time hes on the ice he falls over when somebody touches him. He must be off or something…ugh.
