This is a horrible skid but people need to stop pretending like this team needs a complete rebuild. They’ve had a great season with only 1 fairly bad stretch in December and now this horrible 7 game skid. This is not a bad team, calling them bad after the season they’ve had is like calling the oilers bad because they had 2 horrible months to start the season. Making the playoffs would be great, but honestly guys it’s just not that important this year, They aren’t ready to bring a cup home yet! They are close and they have proved this season that within the next year or 2 they will have a cup contending team. Fair weather fans aren’t in it for the long haul, look at the big picture and be proud of a great season for a rebuilding wings and being a step closer to having our contender team back.

When the only top six center man you have is out, you have no chance. When a top 6 center is out, usually the other carries the workload.

The Wings have had the worst draft lottery luck of all 32 teams the past 6 years. That’s a fact. So Yzerman has done the best he can in building a well rounded team. It worked until Larkin was out. This is not on Stevie.
