Now we got to deals with the Canes fans lol
we didnt deserve to win in dallas. the last three games (even though we won 2 of them), our defense was just HORRENDOUS. carolina is terrifying, and the panthers cannot score on them. we were missing core guys, true, but our goal scorers were still on the ice, and were completely shut down.
this is a very concerning trend, and weve been completely exposed. i dont think we get farther than MAYBE the ECF. If its against the canes, welp, kiss that cup chance goodbye.
A nothing game here. The canes fans will call this a statement game,but it wasn't anything for the panthers. The panthers have Tampa coming up,way more involved there. Cats more than a few times shot the puck dead center into the goalies chest,with few if any rebounds. Plus they only had a lil over 20 shots on goal,which means the canes did cane stuff by blocking shots and playing defense. Saturday is the important game,this one meant nothing. Go Cats

Man…. I think Mahura last year would keep the gap between f1 and him always somewhat big so he could make up for his slowness. This season tho he either isn’t paying attention to where the forwards are letting the gap close between them or he thinks he can beat them?! Obviously his main weakness is how slow and “clunky” he is out there but last season he was solid and didn’t stray to far, this season seems like he took that all out the window.
The Panthers are strategically letting the Canes get their revenge during the regular season so that they wont be as pissed off in the playoffs lol.
Yall are in a tight race with boston for the Atlantic, the exact same as us for the Metro, so its a complete false narrative that florida is just chilling, not really trying hard until the playoffs. You just got beat but instead of owning it ( deep down your scared bc you know its impossible for your goalie to play that well again if we meet in playoffs) you come up with the lame excuse that Florida isnt interested in beating out boston to win the division so they gave a half ass effort while this was Carolinas superbowl. Boy panthers fans got real arrogant in a hurry. Just own the loss, just own 2 loses in a row and pray your golie can do that again(he cant). That was alot of bullshit excuses. I thought us southern hockey fans would stick together a litttle bit more than that
