They can’t not play down to their opponent it’s crazy
Can’t complain when they win with DOUBLE the goals of the losing team tho
I'm absolutely with ya. That was almost embarrassing. It's goalie abuse at this point.
based on what I saw, not because they were the Habs.
If Jake didn't score this game after his screw-ups? Marchand and Zacha were taking him out behind the locker room!
Or as judd serrat and Bob Beers said on the radio – "have a conversation" with Jake
cuz the Canadians are getting better… Playing with nothin left to lose. Once Slaf gets over that hesitation – watch out! They're showing a photo of a face that's half Bergeron half Nick suzuki… If he didn't end up on a 4-minute penalty? We would've lost this.
It's ridiculous to force Ullmark play all of these overtime games that should have been taken care of in 40 minutes.
And he did say that last year – thevonly criticism he's had – is pushing games into overtime
Especially low-scoring games where he holds his end they don't produce at the other.
I think he has shuddup about it this season because hes learned
Now he knows what his job is!
Go into overtime!
But that's pushing our goalies too far.
The sentence "I don't want to be an insufferable Bruins fan" can only be followed by the word "BUT"
This is a stick in the mud take, no hate, just different opinions on the topic…for me this was an OG 6 game with a young Montreal team that understands the history and weren’t gonna let Boston skate right over them so I’m happy for the win personally…especially this late in the season those cellar dwellers always seem to be a thorn in the side of their rivals.
We won, move on 👍🏼
On paper the Bruins should have destroyed the Habs tonight. But don’t you think that their rivalry would spark the Habs to play their A game?
Sure, expectations change over a season, but the plan didn't. This was always going to be the bridge year to move on from the Bergeron era. The fact that we are still all the way up there is hilarious, but largely irrelevant. And Bruins/Habs games NEED to be hard-fought affairs.
we have been playing like crap since the all-star game. we can’t finish teams off.
Agree totally. The Bs don’t exactly inspire confidence
I think as a Boston fan you are normal bro every game is a fucking episode of a drama
But I don’t think it’s crazy the habs made it close. They beat us before this year in OT, at Home. And they also made a come back against the Preds like a week ago 4-3. They’re bad but they’re not ducks/sharks bad.
It’s always like that with Montreal, I think it’s a pride thing after so many years against the Bruins and such a storied rivalry. Same thing used to happen when the B’s sucked and Montreal was good.
Truthfully, Montreal just played a very solid game. They played like the flyers have been playing this year. Nothing flashy, just hard work, smart puck management, and everyone on the same page. There's nothing to worry about. Also, personally, I think Brazeau deserves more ice time. Especially on the PP. you get that big body and soft hands in front of the net I think guys will be more inclined to get the puck to the net. Not to mention, the attention he draws will just cause the opposing PK to slump. Just my opinion. It's too easy for the opposing goalie. Muck it up
I think there is something with being hungry… Bruins slammed the Habs earlier in season, at deadline habs traded off some pieces the remainder likely play harder now as it becomes try-outs for next year. Bruins have same thing.. the AHL call-ups look like they play harder… Heinen also playing to prove himself this year. It seems the stars on the team coast a lot..which didn't happen in previous years.
A win in OT?! Man it still doesn't feel real, GO B's!
This team is so incredibly up and down it hurts to watch sometimes you don’t know what team you’re gonna get. A hard checking in sync team or the team that is so out of sync that it misses empty nets and hits 30 post/crossbars and has to play into OT against “weaker” teams
Dont think too much on it: its a rivalry game, THE rivalry game actually in hockey
look at their history, they always battle hard against each other, bring their A games
bruins won, in ot, habs played hard, thats all that matters
i call it the bottom-feeder blues they lose all season to the low boys and beat the top teams, happens a lot not just to the bruins. the bottom teams have nothing to lose by letting it all hangout as they arent supposed to win, they'll pull more risky stuff and a lot of the times it pays off
The turnovers on every other breakout are gonna kill them if they don’t do anything about it
A wins a win
