@Sabres de Buffalo

Plus/Moins n’a pas d’importance jusqu’à ce qu’il m’aide à former un récit que j’aime. Joki a été vraiment solide ces derniers temps.

    Joki, like UPL, is just a young player growing into his game. Very likely that he’ll just be a solid defenseman from here on out

    Yeah, but I watch him turn over the puck, trying to make back passes around his own net with a man between him and the net, and I wonder, how. Then i remember, UPL.

    IMHO He has been our third best defenseman this year

  4. BARDLER

    Him and Conner Clifton have been our unsung heros for the past few months.

    he really has stepped up when called up on

    at the right time, because I feel he’s made a solid argument to be kept around for a bottom half d-man that can step in with D1-4 injuries as they arise

    We won that trade with Chicago

    Byram’a addition has really helped round out our D. Him being on the first pairing puts Joker in his proper spot in the lineup.

    I have always liked joker. The question is do they bring him back next year? or trade his rights because the Sabres have Johnson under contract. Personally I would want to bring him back

    I know he might make a fine trade piece at some point, his value might be maximized now, but I personally would really like to see him stay. Maybe I just personally have a hard time seeing guys go who’ve been here a while and have been steadily improving (Mitts 😢)

    Unpopular opinion I’m sure but I’d much rather they sign Joki next year and try to move Sammy + Prospects/Picks for proven forward.

    People seem to forget how young Joki is and how normal it is for defensemen to take a while to develop. Kid was a stud in juniors and if we get rid of him now we’ll regret it. Kid is gonna be solid for years

    It’s not just solid as of late. He’s been playing well all season. The reason he seems to be doing better as of late specifically is that he’s being matched against more appropriate opponents. He’s not a top pair defenseman and he never will be. That’s completely fine. The majority of D aren’t. He’s excellent as a 4/5 and I hope Buffalo sees that when looking at roster building for next season.

    Plus/Minus is a thing like any other, all stats require context and film. And on tape defense is playing well
