  1. Didn't even think about Hayes… He could work on this team. Especially with Wheeler out now. Maybe we could see a Buchnevich, Zuccarello, Hayes, Vitrano reunion. A lot of former Rangers on the radar.

  2. Great analysis by Emily! Really like Gourde or Eberle for Rangers.
Would definitely help our 5 on 5 offensive punch, which really helps team defense!!!

  3. Some of the top centers are already gone will the Rangers have to pay a premium for Henrique? With youth and depth on the left side could Othmann be the answer Cuylle looks ready. Pull the trigger Drury bring the fire to the playoffs. 🎲

  4. Thanks for tis update and insight Emily….as a life long Ranger fan- 1) I want NOTHING to do with Hayes. Hes a lazy dog on the ice. 2) I would prioritize Gourde. Overpay if need be. Hes the guy. No doubt in my mind.

  5. please don't trade Kappo!!! He may not be the player we thought he would be but at his price on a 3rd line it's a steal!! Also he's still young, I wouldn't give him up!!!

  6. Rangers screwed the pooch 2 years ago by not keeping Vatrano and Copp/or/Motte. Plus the boost in picks for Copp, just to get to the Conference finals. Then last year get Motte back again for a younger player, only to let him go AGAIN. And the Kane debacle. And if you ask me renting Tarasenko for Blais, basically totally destroying the transaction that led to Buchnevich going to St. Louis, was another total fail by not keeping him so they can sign 6 over 31 vets, which so far only Gustafsen was the only fruitful signing. You can go on and on. How about the Rangers get back to getting picks even if they are late rounders and dump the over the hill "For Competition" slugs they got. Along with the 8mil dollar 3rd pair defenseman they named Captain and hate to say it but Goodrow. Why keep giving away youth for rentals or short timers? One youth I would still part with is Lafreniere. His numbers are fraudulent. If it wasn't for Panarin and Trochek he wouldn't even have 4 goals and probably only a handful of secondary assists since he is lazy and by No means a playmaker. Kakko needs to stay he may not have the best numbers and has had some unfortunate injuries but he is a hard worker. Hayes? How about trying to get Namestnikov, Brendan Smith, Marc Staal, or Justin Braun from the German league back as well with Vatrano and Motte to boot. Rangers blew it by not keeping anyone 2 years ago and making even worse rental deals last year. There is no more window to build on for a quick single cup run again. Same old BS. Organization doesn't know how to build a dynastic team and never will. I've been watching this show since 75-76 season.

  7. I think Hayes would be a poor choice. I don't remember that much about him, but I know I wasn't impressed. Maybe I'm wrong.

  8. Forget the offense we need a big dman and depth at defense. Were going to be playing big teams that are physical and rite now we can’t match them.Your only as good as your defense.

  9. They can’t be dumb enough to take Henrique he was drafted the same year the rangers drafted del zoto and it’s been over a decade since he even recorded a point in the playoffs. Kevin is just another no thank you. Hopefully they do almost nothing and start bringing in from within the organization. Unless it’s someone who is going to help this team for multiple seasons it’s not worth it. We have forward depth. Except center and they are overpriced this time of the year.

  10. 8 mins I will never get back. Literally nothing new to a fan that follows the team. Also to say “you love” the idea of not trading a 1st rd pick, because our billionaire wants a 5 min moment in the lights in June is ridiculous. That is owner malpractice in its purest form. How about making a splash with a cup for the 1st time in 30 years?

  11. I don't like the idea the organization panics and start to look for a trade. No i don't like how they select a player when they have prospects they can mold into the team and when they do it's a failing mark. Kakko has been with the team for 3 years or better and has not broken out of his lack of consistency. Frank Vatrano should never have been traded and the owner of two New York pro teams has not done anything to build while all other teams build and become champions 2 time in a row while N.Y. is every 20 -30 years. It's very hard to be a New York fan.

  12. I heard rumors of Mantha from the Caps….and now with Wheeler out(Probably a blessing in disguise, and hoping he gets well), but we need size, speed, and grit to get through more than the 1st round

  13. I'd be shocked if the Rangers bring back Duclair. He was shipped out the first time due to his attitude, and judging by his bouncing around the league despite being a 30 goal scorer, it looks like it hasn't improved much.

  14. Maybe it’s just me, but I think the decision to not give up a 1st rounder solely because you want to make a pick in a specific building, is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. No one is going to remember you making the pick the day after it happens. If it was because you didn’t want to sell your future, that’s acceptable, but not trading it and inhibiting our chance at being cup contenders because you selfishly want to make a pick no one will remember is just stupid.

  15. Vlad should come back to NYR and hopefully he'll do better than the last time he came

  16. The team doesn't have what it takes to win 16 playoff games. If they are in "win-now" mode, which I believe they are since many guys are already on the wrong side of 30, they will not be able to keep assets like Kakko. If they want to bolster the team and get the right pieces, it will take sacrifice.

  17. Adan Henrique, Frankie Vattrano, Ant Duclair, and a Stay at home Veteran Defenseman is what this team needs to even get close to sniffing a cup. All of these pieces can fit with LTIR $$ + teams retaining some salary + moving a player making over 500K

  18. the Rangers will only go as far as Igor can take them, and right now he isn't taking them anywhere and it's painful to watch. It troubles me that when Wheeler went down, Lavie slotted Veasy in at RW1 rather than Kakko. If Kakko can't grab that opportunity or if the Rangers don't think he can make the jump right now, then perhaps it's time for a change of scenery for the player. I hate to say, it don't think Kakko is a bust, I just don't think he has the time and opportunity to find his way into a Top 6 spot with NYR. They are just not a place that is good for young players to develop since there is never any time and the Rangers are always in a go-go-go mode.

Chyrtil is heartbreaking. He deserved so much better than this and is a talented player and good kid and it seemed like this was his year.

  19. Stop with the short term rentals….last 3 years has proven that…stop unsettling chemistry. One forward or one defenseman will do.

  20. Kevin Hayes was useless and uninspired in his first go-around. Why bring him back years older and equally uninspired?

  21. She is so hot. Anyway, i hope we make zero moves. We are fine. We always f*ck up at the deadline. Tarasenko and buchnevich can both f*ck right off. I don wanna give up kakko, or anyone, for some @sshole that is not a ranger.

.. i am still p*ssed off about st louey for cally.
