1. Could you guys see a scenario if EP does not bring it in the playoffs and pulls a no show, could Alvin move him in the off-season? Why do we want him if he can't give us 12 million dollars of play?

  2. Congratulations Frank! Edit. Frankie has to be one of the best anylists in the game. He is absolutely on point.

  3. The whole city and fan base only care about stats goals/ assists, no one cares about physical dmen with size, nobody cares about 2way checking centers. nobody cares about having a fighter for the star players. all this fan base wants is offense and point getters. the youngins don't realize you need grit and sandpaper. offense works for your ball hockey teams but not so much nhl. Sign Zadorov before Hronek and don't re sign useless go through the motions Myers even at 1 million.

  4. Worse case scenario, they have Hronek for a year, can't resign him and move him to another team and recoup what they paid for him. I'm not too concerned about Myers. As good as he's been this year, he's replaceable. Zadorov is the younger, more physical version, anyway. Either they resign some of these guys or they'll have picks and prospects for Hronek and some cap space. Turnover is a part of the NHL now and how teams are able to retool every year determines how well they do long term. Tampa has remained among the better teams in the league for the last 8 or 9 years despite having to give up a lot of very good secondary players. Eventually it catches up with you and you have to rebuild because you get too top-heavy, but at this point, the Canucks should be able to figure it out. DeSmith should be resigned for a decent amount.

  5. Choosing opponents. At this point it seems likely they finish #1 in pacific, if not conference. So the only thing rather certain is they dont get Edmonton first round. If a central team beats them out for #1 in conference, they finish #2, #1 pacific they get #1 wildcard.

La has been inconsistent for months. Aging core thats won cups

Nashville has been one of the hottest teams for three weeks. Goalie factor, but are they still hot in a month.

Vegas. Has that star player Ltir coming back, forest of redwoods on defense. Defending chamos.

Whomever gets #2 wildcard would have been playing playoff hockey for a month or more.

In the end you have to be playing well, beat them all. The real question, Demko?

  6. Why does Saros get the nod over Demko? Demko's numbers are better. Can't he go on a playoff run just as easily?

  7. Do we actually know the Canucks were shopping Lindholm, or could it be teams asked Vancouver to include him in a trade, and they said no. Perhaps the team wanting Lindholm was the one leaking the story to force Vancouver and the player to part ways. We really just don't know the full situation. Frankie is right, he's here, and he needs to play like his future depends on his play, because it does.
