exciting game. a playoff series would be great… EDM did great esp given our handicap of $5m to Campbell, $2m to Neal, $4m to Brown to be a top line fwd/score some goals… But EDM media & coach failure to see that for a TEAM to win, all guys have to battle/check… & if some are allowed to NOT.. to coast vs check… then the sprit of all suffers & you just can''t expect to win. After100 examples, this game gave a spotlight on it for discussion and media such cowards to not discuss it- in a tied game in OT – why did Bouch coast and give McK space to pass vs take the oppty to check/hit him as the last play of game? why did Drais let up to let his guy have some space – vs skate to be sure that he made teh play vs the opponent? why does media (& Coach) lack the courage to discuss the most obvious facts/news of competition?
Drai and Bouch both gave up at the end and it cost them, otherwise great game.
Bouchards bad play at the end…doesn’t check the player, skates behind the player? He’s not between the net and the player…bad play that cost us the game. Check the player into the boards and we are going to a shootout…as a goalie I hate shootouts but at least we get the point…more chats with Coffey are required…
