The Red Wings need a Dan Campbell level coach to get in there and motivate the team. Uncle fester Lalonde has shown time and time again that he cannot do the job. I am pretty sure the players do not respect him and that's evident by their consistent lack of effort demonstrated in the last 8 games.

Hes made few good draft picks (Seider, for one) but some really dumb moves too, vrana long gone outta the league while mantha, while not tearing it up, is still a relevant player. Signing larkin longterm also not good, larkin not a leader. Soft team, no organ stupid rock all the time wings organization not what it used to be

Guys, it’s not fair to criticize Steve Yzerman. He’s just a little guy and anyway it’s his birthday and when he took over fifteen minutes only fifteen minutes ago, everyone on the team was dead. This is a question for those who watch most of the Wings games, is Kane moving OK or does it seem he is having problems crossing over again. The average career after the surgery he had is one year. I hope he remains healthy the NHL is better with him playing. He seems to be standing around more and not skating full out again. The Wings roster has a lot of undersized players and that does not help. As a Hawks fan, I saw when they started counting on too many smaller players, it did not work.

Back in 1989, I remember listening to a Red Wings hockey game on WJR 760 where the Penguins were at the Joe Louis Arena. The Wings fell behind 6 – 0. The Wings scored 6 straight to tie the game. You should've heard the crowd… and Bruce Martyn who was announcing the game along with Paul Woods as commentator.

Much needed win and 2 pts. The wings aren't the same time without dylan Larkin. Ville huuso hurt also. Pens did what they needed to do and take advantage of it. Im glad the goal scoring has returned. 16 goals the last 3 games. The defense needs to return to its early season form though. 13 goals against last 3 games. Too many goals against and its not the goaltending like everybody. A goaltender can only do so much when the other team is getting many grade a chances. Happy for the win, now on to the devils who have owned the penguins lately
The Wings are behind the team who hasn't won the cup since 1967. If the Wings win 3 more cups, they'll pass the Leafs. Then they'll be second to the Montreal Canadiens … the all time greatest team. Something to shoot for.
Wings will be forged thru fire. This season or the next. We are a club that has honor, history and the will to win. Patience is the key.
