I like the flat, single color logo for some things.
I really like the design of the Kraken logo, I’d be interested in seeing what the artist that did their logos could come up with.

Honestly it’s a hard “name” to logo for. If I was ownership I’d consider a complete rebrand and name change. Saying that, the “flags” logo or whatever they are called is pretty cool and they could do something with those.

Not a fan. Going minimal is a trend in corporate and sports design that’s already old. And personally, I think sports should be fun and the look should reflect that. Original ’97 jerseys, much like all other sports at that time, were more fun and saturated.

I would like to see something that looks more like a black hole, with a more clearly defined eye like an event horizon, like one of the top two here: https://imgur.com/a/a7QLOpF
A successful logo should be simple, something a kid could draw. There are exceptions (I love the Wild’s logo and it’s quite complicated) but overall I think the current logo is too busy and doesn’t really evoke the imagery of a hurricane.

I’d love it. Red on black has always been my favorite combo. If we do end up getting a new logo I hope we stick with some form of the storm. The flags don’t do much for me and these logos that are just the name spelled out is just lazy

personally would love something more fitting for the nature of the name itself… Carolina represents both states, Hurricanes come from the ocean, and IMO red as a dominant color (unless you’re the Red Wings) is played out. Again, just my opinion.
I’d love to see concepts with more aquatic + gray/black tones. I really just want a color pallet that does a better job at symbolizing a hurricane/storm.
