Samsonov still doesn’t pass the eye test. He is inconsistent with his depth management, struggles with lateral movement and relies too much on reflex saves and gambles. Goalies like that get hot but it never lasts. Woll is the far better goalie and they should be getting him ready for game 1.

Sammy has a 1 year contract, the Leafs are not getting past the Bs with the current core 4 tudes, and if by a boatload of luck they do, then they face the Cats and that's the end. So the goalie convo is moot.
